Somebody was saying on twitter it looks to be a form of encephalitis from eating contaminated feed. I have no idea who this person is or what their credentials are so take that with a grain of salt.

I do know deer can get a lung disease from eating wet corn that's been poured out on the ground and had a certain mold and fungus form on it.

There's something similar that's been on "What on Earth" or some similar Science Channel program, except it was deer instead of sheep. I think the consensus is that some sort of disease is involved.
