The other two are bordered by Wolf Lake and the MS River.

Here's a couple I have on my Cams... Only Pics I have are at night, ready for the rut to start...

after the kill (just to sell same), along with the coyote yelps (just for giggles). Also, the first part of the videowas obviously filmed the next day, but notice how the neck is still limber. Where's the rigor mortis? But beside all that, the deer is still dead from that bow shot. And that is one. Big. Mutha. Yeah, I'm jealous...talking video smack.

They are never filmed start to finish and aired that way. I have participated in a few and they will actually write down exactly what you are wearing. That way, if you need to film more footage the next day, you will be wearing the exact same thing.

In a few of them, after the kill we had to wait 3 days for the weather to be similar to what it was when we actually made the kill.

My favorite is climbing back up in a deer stand to look all serious and use the calls that the company is promoting.

It is actually a pretty fun job if you love hunting but you have to be willing to never be home for about 6 solid each year. Don't know how you could do it with a family.

about the grunt and doe calls. Also notice the deer doesn't flinch when the coyotes start up. Again, huge deer and you can't fake that shot. And yes, I'm still jealous.

i killed this one last Tuesday. I was just playing with a smaller buck that in a cutover, grunting at him really loud just to see how it would react. Well the small buck ran away and this one came in grunting/growling and hooking every bush he came by

I was going to stay out of this since I know everyone this thread is spreading rumors about. Its fun sitting back and listening to the speculation. <div>For starters, Will's deer is legit. He's not going to shoot a fenced and claim its fair chase. Several people in the outdoor industry have done this already and its ruined their career. Wilbur may be an odd duck, but he's not stupid. And like everyone said, deer will swim a river and not think twice about it.</div><div>Lastly, Toxey is a great guy and huge bulldog (MSU grad). I'm sorry he didn't sign your hat at the NWTF convention. He'sdefinitelya better hang than his make-up wearing, tanning-bed-going counterpart out of Columbus, GA...from Ole Miss.</div>

The duck hunting one in Rising Creek is hilarious. I met those guys one time at a hunting show in Memphis. They laughed about everything. I believe Mike passed away from cancer about 5 or 6 years ago.

You are probably right about the grunting and calling. 9 times out of 10, those areeditedin. Lets not forget how Primos makes their money. <div>
</div><div>As for the coyotes, I think its legit. If the deer are used to hearing them, they won't pay too much attention to it. The editors aren't going to put in some random coyote sounds unless the deer is running away and they want to make it look like coyotes spooked it off instead oftheirscent or over calling.
<div>
</div><div>On the other hand, there is nothing fake about that arrow going in theboiler room.</div></div>

Did have success with buck roar call Sunday morning though. Got a nice eight, that came right out after a grunting and a snort wheeze sequence. That buck excited me, I couldn't imagine what a "sad daddy" like "ole split toe" would do to my adrenaline level.

I happen to know Toxey and he has proven to be one of the most down to earth, hard working, and easy going people I know. Sorry you got an issue. You obviously hadn't been around him much

Something tells me that your opinion is based solely on speculation.

I only hunt in carroll cty on my family's place. I can say that there big bucks are the most skiddish creatures I have ever seen they just go mostly nocturnal in gun season....they aren't stupid. But occationaally they do something foolish in the rut.....occationally they make a mistake. Fair chase is hard work in Miss....as opposed to Texas where they have corn feeders and such. I have killed a few good 8 pts that I was real proud of. Almost every oneI have killed have not been in a stand....it has always been just dumb luck of me creeping through the thick thick stuff and jumping one up waiting on a gf and always always in the rut. The biggest we have ever killed is a 10 pt 165 class. They lay up in the day and move at night.

I always thought hunting show kills had to either come from haevily managed property where the redneckscan't shoot at them from the roads all the time. Somewhere where you can keep all the pressure off.....it isn't nearly as easy as they make it look on the tv. Living in Texas I feel like I could kill a 180-200 class if I had access to the right piece of land.Imo an 8 pt in Miss is like a 200 class elsewhere.

You are right for the most part. It's not easy killing a fair chase buck on camera. <div>
</div><div>They do go heavily managed areas. Why in the 17 would you not? Hunting season only lasts so long. It makes no sense to try to video a good buck on a 400 acres club lease with 26 members (24 being coonasses that shoot the first thing that steps out). </div><div>
</div><div>If your job was to get as many good buck kills on camera as you could, would you hunt on the Bogue Chitto National Forest or Giles Island?</div><div>
</div><div>About it looking easy...thats the power of editing. Contrary to popular belief, no one wants to see the 15 days of seeing nothing on TV. You are only going to show the "good parts".</div>

I agree with all that. If I was will primos, toxey, mike waddell, bill jerkoff jordanetc. I would go the the best spots I could too Texas, Iowa, Canada, Kansas. I understand/agree they put in alot of time that doesn't make the 30 minute show. Say 200 hours for 30 minutes of airtime.

It's fun to watch, but not what the "everyday/blue collar" man goes through to kill a buck. Hard work on a family farm hunting club gets you a nice solid8 pt, and hard work on tv/a **** load of cash gets you a 190 class monster off a super managed property.

Yeah thats a pretty nice deer. If you call a deer being raised in a pin and force fed corn since the day it was born nice, then yeah its nice.
