Ok fellas....sell me on your favorite wireless meat thermometer. I have a wired ThermoPro that I really like, but I really want one that is wireless with an accompanying app. I actually bought a TempSpike Twin a few weeks ago, but it is clearly defective and won't even charge/pair correctly, so I'm a little gun shy of that particular one. I know this board has some expertise in this area, so let's hear it...

My opinion of things like this may be different than other folks but I compare this to a trout fishing rig that will be abused, covered in sand and water, left outside, rode hard and hung up wet.

Buy a cheap one from Walmart, abuse it and throw it away when it locks up.

Then go buy another one.

I have ChefsTemp probes mostly because I have the Chefs Temp thermometer and fan for my Oklahoma Joe Bronco. They all work together.

Wal-Mart had their long-stem thermometers on the clearance aisle this week.
I get my *** up and excuse myself from pointless conversations to check the meat and pop another beer like a real man.

I went ThermoWorks and have not had a single issue knock on wood. Had a Meater but started having issues with connectivity and range. ChefIQ makes some of the best starter probes if your just getting the into wireless .. the apps are not to confusing either.

I’m using a Weber iGrill. It works fine. Don’t like that the alerts are barely audible so you have to keep an eye on it. But really I think most any would be ok. The difference between using one & not using one is much bigger than the difference between one vs another.

I got a Meater a while back. It's the older version. I really like it. The software is awesome. It does a great job of predicting finish times. You can also share a cook with someone via text and they can monitor it from afar. I'll share a cook with my family and they will know when the food is about ready. Works well when everyone is scattered.

I think all the thermostats are the same. They are all accurate. The software and range is what you are paying for.

I also got the dual ThermoPro Temp Spike and had the same problems. Returned it for the exact probe, thinking I simply got a one off lemon. Second ThermoPro didn’t pair properly and one probe wouldn’t charge. Absolute garbage!

I bought the Meater 4-probe set back in the spring and was so excited. Don’t know if I got a bad set, but it’s been super finicky and has been hell about dropping connections, not connecting to wifi, etc. By mid-summer I pulled my old ThermaPro wired 4-probe set back out and started using it again.

I've had an iGrlll bluetooth thermometer for almost 15 years and still going strong. It was originally by iDevices, but they sold the iGrill brand to weber in 2016 or so.

I’ve about had every one on this list….i just like to party and eat …then whatever. I’m not investing 75-100 dollars for something that beeps as the same time I get a chubby.

Not a fan of the one's with the wireless probes. Not a fan of an app either. Would just rather have an RF display device or something sitting next to my beer on a table.

This is on sale at Amazon today and is they type I like to use:

Amazon.com: ThermoPro TP829 1000ft Wireless Meat Thermometer Digital for Grilling and Smoking, 4 Meat Probes Grill Thermometer for Outside Grill, BBQ Thermometer for Cooking Turkey Temperature Indicator : Industrial & Scientific
That helps you none in looking for what you say you want, but just putting out some advice based on my experience.

I’d buy thermoworks. If that was too much I’d probably go with thermopro.
I don’t have a wireless but Thermoworks is the gold standard to me in cooking thermometers. I have several of their products and would not even consider anything else.

I leave mine outside to get rained on every single time.

I have the Dyson Titanium Elite Ultra Yeti Pro, I think it ran me about $1200 or $1500. Not sure as I don't count pennies anymore now that they are gone.
The Dale's anniversary edition is only $200 more but it's made to hold up to our favorite marinade.
