agree! I missed the first half of the game. Was the pulling of Hill pre-mature? or was he getting slammed and just lucky to have only given up 1 run?For those who missed it, Game Two was a CLASSIC! Hope my Dodgers can bounce back.
Having Jansen pitch two innings was a mistake. Roberts over coached that one.
yeah, seemed more about taking out the guy who was in beforehand than wanting to get Jansen in for a portion of that 2nd inning. So many decisions but maybe they could have brought someone else in to finish the 8th and start jansen for the 9th.I think that having a closer who usually pitches only one inning pitch two is really risky. But teams seem to love to do it in post-season baseball.
I've always wondered about you, even though Abro says you're a good guy.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:Go 'Stros!

I was a huge Astros fan in the late 70's/early 80's, when they always seemed to have dominant pitching, but no hitting.Been a Dodgers fan all my life, beginning in the 50's.
Agree 100%.There were 8 home runs in the game, a post season record. There were 5 homers in extra innings, which has never happened in any game, much less a post-season game, in baseball history.
Roberts took out Hill, because he didn't want him to face the lineup for the 3rd time, based on the numbers. The problem came when he misused the bullpen, starting with Maeda, taking those guys out too quickly.
Not a fan of Mike Scott?I was a huge Astros fan in the late 70's/early 80's, when they always seemed to have dominant pitching, but no hitting.

Loved Mike Scott, but he didn't really hit his stride until the mid-80's, when he mastered the split-fingered fastball. Not a fan of Mike Scott?

Some great stats on World Series game 7s. There have been 38 of them. Home team record is 19-19.
And so is the Away teamSo that means the visiting team is 19-19.
