There's few things that bother me as much as hearing some 'gun nut' call a magazine a clip. I discredit everything that comes out of their mouth afterwards.

The word clip has come into such widespread use as an equivalent of magazine that it's probably now taken on the same meaning, but it's annoying because it's not descriptive.

Question: are those things that put six rounds together for quick loading considered a "clip?"
