I participated in the test in the mid 80s. I was given a pint of liquid that I wasn't supposed to be able to tell whether it had alcohol or not. Had to chug the pint, which tasted like mouth wash. They asked me to respond to a bunch of before and after questions and agility tests. I remember making like 50 or 75 bucks, which was some pretty good money at the time.

Still remember my test in 1977 vividly. Consumed a scientifically measured amount of gin over 20 minute time frame. Then a very attractive woman came in the room and sat in front of me. I was told she would not speak to me. They asked me to speak to her for 2 minutes, talking about myself, in an effort to impress her. Strange experiment but I got paid and a buzz.

I wanted to take Wine Appreciation my Senior Year (Spring 06) but it met on Thursday nights.

It was my bowling league night though (i.e. Beer and Shots Appreciation).

What has the Center of Alcohol Studies been up to in recent decades? They should conduct some research at tailgates! The center is based on Busch and just up the road beyond the golf course from all the football parking.

I participated. Didn't have anything to drink prior and got drunk off my a$$. The study I did involved sexual arousal driven by alcohol. They showed a bunch of porno (of different types) and I won't comment on how they measured the results. I blew up my session when I told them exactly how they were doing so and they thought I "manipulated" things... (no pun intended).
I think they made me sleep there for like 6 hours afterwards and had to feed me all day lol.
