Thought we'd have one central location to talk about other games/teams in the ACC. NC State just beat Miami @ Miami and are ranked 18th. They are well coached, play stifling/disruptive defense, and can run for days. One to look out for, for sure.

State is legit this year. I’d say the third best team in the ACC right now. Could move up to 2nd, Keatts is a solid coach. ACC as a whole is gonna be brutal, The normally good squads are still good, and the middle tier like State, FSU, Clemson, etc is better than usual.
NC State seems to give us fits anyway, but we only play them once...and it's at Cameron. I feel a little better with that situation.
I'm glad our first game back, against Clemson, is at home (after the long layoff). Could be ugly in the first half, but hopefully we can rev it up in the second half.

Just saw where UM kid was declared ineligible for rest of season. Hasn't been playing to date. This and injury, I think to one of their other centers, really hurts them. Nice start for NCS. How fun would it be for us and State pull off a Triangle Sweep against UNC! Can I trademark that? Hey Dirt, come up with some graphics and we can make tee shirts!
That would be awesome fun, df64! If that were to happen (doubtful), we'll have to come up with something to celebrate! I mean they might hate the Pack more than us...nah...but they do hate them madly!

State is gonna be a tough out even at home. Like you said they give us fits anyway and this year they’re actually good lol. As for Clemson, they seem solid and well coached but, so far underperforming expectations. I suspect they’ll bring their A game in order to get a season altering win, I like us after a slow start to win 85-72.
Not sure I’d say their second or third yet, but they’re going to beat some teams that they “shouldn’t beat.” They have the type of squad that could upset a UVA or UNC. They are pretty disciplined. They struggled against Miami for much of that game, because they let them get out just play. Miami has a glorified pick up team this year, they play loose.
When State stays true to their sets on O, they can space the floor with the best of them.
For me personally I just think UNC isn’t very good this year. Worse than last year’s 11 loss squad even. No dominant post presence and struggle to hit the 3, along with being unable to take care of the ball. I see them hanging on the bubble mid-way through ACC play. For me personally I’d say...

2-UVA
3-State
4-VT
5-FSU

Oh I didn’t think you were, I was just saying they’re gonna be extra tough because even their bad teams play us tough. I’m definitely glad we got them at home. I was pretty pissed last year when we put them in a hole at State and they still flipping came back. Though considering our defense can flat out dismantle offenses, it shouldn’t be an issue this year if we can get them down early.

One thing they can do well is shoot the 3-ball. And when it’s falling they’re pretty good. Plus, they rebound well and still push. In addition, their conference schedule is light(er) this year. I’d be surprised if they weren’t top four. Hope I’m wrong, though.
They can hit and get going yeah, but they’re only 88th in percentage. Better than us to be sure but not something to really worry about as long as teams guard it. They rebound well but I was moreso talking about a go to post guy on offense. May is solid but against elite bigs he flat out disappears. I see them finishing 10-8 in conference overall. Could be wrong but they just haven’t shown me anything to be concerned about honestly.
This team can beat any squad by 20-30 if they’re playing well. If they were to somehow play their best game every game for the rest of the season no one will even come within 25 lol. I’d like to get through one season without a single court storming lol.It is about time for us to kick their *** though!

That percentage is still respectable, especially considering it’s brought way down by Kenny Williams during away at a 26% clip. Everyone else who takes them with any regularity is above 36%, including Johnson who’s at 47%.
I want you to be right, because I want a repeat of NIT 2011 for them more than anything. I’m just not sure they’ll be that bad. Plus, bad UNC teams still give Duke trouble in games.
Still with 11 losses, they’ll be a solid two seed and in the convo for a one.
That’s such a travesty. How the hell the Holes got a two seed is mind boggling. Losing record in the ACC this season will get them the second overall seed I’m sure.
Speaking of the holes, here’s hoping Capel and Pitt can pull off the upset.

Props to the pack for rebounding and getting a win they absolutely needed. It would have been easy to put up a crap performance after the emotionally/physically draining UNx game, kind of like UNx.
Georgia Tech is home against Louisville, and has scored 12 points with less than 2 minutes to go in the half.
