Cardenas had a tight match with him. If I was wrestling duke I would try to not get taken down the first two periods Then get him in the third. He does not have a lot of weakness but I have seen if someone can take him to the third his strength and reactions begins to weaken. Cardenas’s had this game plan and had a chance at the end to tie but Pj got out of it. It’s going to take a smart discipline, Wrestler to beat Pj.
Agreed on all accounts. I would add that Duke's counter offense is far better than his offense. Your shots and finishes have to very clean against him or don't shoot at all.

Teague Travis won the Kent State Holiday Classic Open at 157!
He wrestled unattached (Mizzou). He teched his way to the finals and then majored Kent State's Reese Stephen 16-3. Across the four matches, he outscored opponents 78-15, only giving up escape points.

I watched my first RAF wrestling event and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it and I may have to get a subscription just for the next one.
I’m able to get it free since I’m a student so I’ll definitely continue watching.

Reineri Ortega is wrestling 133 at Midlands. I believe his lawsuit against the NCAA is still pending but it will be interesting to see him in folkstyle. He's 27

VT true freshman Aaron Seidel teched #14 Dylan Shawver 17-0

Reineri Ortega majored Matty Lopes of Lehigh 13-4. Lopes was previously undefeated with wins over #11 Berginc and #13 Mougalian.
Seidel is tough. Three-time PA state champ. He wrestled Jax last year in the state finals and gave him all he wanted. Jax ended up winning 7-1, but it was tight until the very end.

Disappointed to see Carter Young medically forfeited out of the semis at Southern Scuffle. I hope he isn’t hurt bad. Assuming it had to be an injury because I think Carter could have won that tournament after knocking off the top seed.
One other reason I would be hesitant about attending any of these tournaments as there are a ton of medical forfeits. At least if a wrestler ducks it counts as a loss now.

Teague made the finals and lost to Jordan Williams 7-3.
Teague's teammate Conway lost to JW 8-2 in the semis.

Teague beat Laird Root 6-3 in the semis, and Conway beat Root 9-6 in the 3rd place match.

The starting spot is still up for grabs it seems
