A quality win even with the mistakes and the inability to cover Kolar, time after time after time.
OU will have to play far and away its best game of the year to beat OSU.

I hate prevent D but this isnt on Grinch as the D played great. If the offense had a better day this game isnt even close. Its the lack of O that almost cost the team today. Not to mention Brkic has become a head case.

I'm speaking directly to Iowa State last 2 possessions. After being aggressive all day and it bringing massive success and disruption, Grinch got vanilla and gave the Cyclones a chance. When it mattered, he didn't trust his guys after they played their best game of the season.

So at this point I guess the our “quality win” would be?
Today's game in my view. A good team was defeated and some improvement on defense was seen.
Okay, maybe "quality" is too strong a word, so let's call it OU's biggest win of the year, so far....relatively speaking.
If it isn't, what other game is ?

So in your mind and I am just asking, you dont think the offense or lack of put the defense in jeapordy in the final quarter?

I am not buying Grinch **** the bed and almost cost the team today.

The offense holds responsibility for poor play most of the day and a bad final drive.

I'm speaking specifically to the final 2 drives by Iowa State and Grinch's passive play calling, allowing ISU to score easy once and get far to close going for a tie. He was aggressive, with great success, until it got tight.

7 sacks 3 turnovers and a defensive touchdown, and it was a one-possession win. Game shouldnt have been close

Understand what your saying and even I told my wife the prevent D could cost us. Who really knows if that was Grinch call or did Riley tell him to go prevent?

My main point is all the offense had to do was get a couple of first downs on that last 3 and out drive but the play calling was awful. In fact I thought Rileys PC was lacking today or maybe the offense is just way overrated.

59, the offense IS overrated and I am guilty of touting OU solely based on Williams’ performance in the Texas game. And now Texas has lost like six straight games and has to play Kansas State next week. But we’re still 10-1. Go figure.
