Looking back at a few classes, I came across these guys. If freshmen redshirted they're juniors now. Some started right away (Sherrod/Wright) and some other have had injury issues that might have them around longer (Elliot/Green).<div>
</div><div>Anthony Dixon and Derek Sherrod are the obvious standouts, but look at the rest of the class. How many of these guys made any kind of impact at all? I remember the names, but only from them signing. Did they just disappear afterwards? We went with a lot of jucos in this class. And interesting that a few 2 star OL are starting and doing well for us.</div><div>[rankings according to Scout.com]</div><div>
</div><div><div>FOUR STARS</div><div>Robert Elliott</div><div>Derek Sherrod</div><div>Jazzmen Guy</div><div>Co-Eric Riley</div><div>Jessie Bowman</div><div>Josh Riddell</div><div>
</div><div>THREE STARS</div><div>Antonio White</div><div>Jamie Jones</div><div>K.J. Wright</div><div>LaMarcus Williams</div><div>Marcus Green</div><div>Colton Jenkins</div><div>Wade Bonner</div><div>Antwon Dixon</div><div>CDominic Douglas</div><div>Jimmie Holmes</div><div>Chris Nance</div><div>Jasper O'Quinn</div><div>
</div><div>TWO STARS</div><div>Ethan Stockett</div><div>Eric Richards</div><div>Karlin Brow</div><div>Terrell Johnson</div><div>Wesley Carroll</div><div>Maurice Crutison</div><div>Chris Relf</div><div>D.J. Thats Antwon Dixon in that class who, if I remember correctly, went pro in baseball.
Antwon went juco. Their younger brother Rashun went pro baseball the next year, 2008.

Of the 4 stars: Sherrod was the only solid guy. Bowman was not great. Elliot huge bust. everyone else bust.
Of the 3 stars: Wright, Green, Bonner, Douglas, and O'Quinn are the only ones that ever did anything.
Of the 2 stars: Relf, Saulsberry, Anderson, and Lawrence are the only ones getting PT right now.

So out of a class of 34 people, only 5 (Sherrod, Wright, Relf, Saulsberry, and Lawrence) are starting right now. Can't win the big games in the SEC consistently without seniors that make impacts, and we don't have many of those. Mullen is going to have a lot more guys make impacts as seniors if he stays here.

I still think Elliot and Riddle were the biggest disappointments.<div>
</div><div>For all the celebrating people did on us swinging Elliot from the MBB he just hasn't measured up. Even before his injury.</div><div>Riddle was supposed to be the next big thing. Juco QB's never work out though, right?</div><div>Jazz Guy? He was all world in high school. What the heck happened?</div><div>Co-Eric? He was on the team, but had walkon white guys outplaying him.</div>

Croom coaching happened.

Remember Lance Long? He is on an NFL roster now. Well, practice squad I think. But he has seem game reps in the NFL. When a WR looks underwhelming at best in college, then sniffs anything at all in the NFL - there was a major problem at the said college.

Relf was a wasted scholarship if you wanted to continue to run the West Coast Offense. However, he fits Mullen's system quite nicely. Saulsberry and Addison Lawrence were nice pick-ups. Anytime you can sign a guy that will be a 3-year starter, you've done well with that scholarship.

Most of the others washed-out or play in back-up type roles.

I would normally agree with you. But those 2* guys started early because there was no depth whatsoever in the line. In reality, they shouldn't have had to start that early.

I think he had a big time accident (car) and was hurt- If I remember itreally wasa bad injury- he ended up quitting football, had a short comeback in JC and then quit again

That may not be 100% accurate but a bit closer to the truththan"selling weed".
