In the preseason games tonight, Jarvis saw some significant minutes, and Dee is playing as backup PG/SG now. Hope both of these guys get contracts this year.

Arnett didn't see any minutes the other night in the Sixers game, but he'll be a contributor this year.

Who is Dee playing for?

He is with Portland, at least through training camp, so he is playing for a roster spot.

Jarvis is as well (with the Heat, obviously), but luckily they have cut Joel Anthony and Dexter Pittman, so that frees up some bigman spots for the swat-mister.

I know most people don't consider Monta one of ours but he played pretty well tonight too. Pretty even score/assist ratio. He's gotten wise in his years it seems.

I like Monta, since he's a MS boy and all, but there is a reason he's averaged 20+ points for a career and still hasn't made an All-star team: he's the definition of "hero ball".

That being said, I do hope he does well in Dallas. I've always rooted for him, and this is by far the most talented team he's been on, so hopefully those vets will set him straight. I'm intrigued to see him on the court with Vince and Dirk.

Was reading on twitter feed...

That Bost was really giving Chris Paul a hard time with his defense last night. Great to see him playing so well.

Hate to benefit from the misfortune of other, but CJ McCollum is injured again, so that might open the door for Dee a bit more. Some of you might remember McCollum as the Lehigh guard who torched Duke in the first round of the NCAAs two years ago.

I like watching Monta play. He can do some ridiculous stuff with the basketball in his hands, but you're spot on with the hero ball stuff. And he is undersized, so bigger SG's have a tendency to abuse him on D

It's the first time he's playing in the right system. He's always had a scoring PG next to him taking away his shots and minimizing his effectiveness. He'll have his best year yet playing alongside a PG who won't shoot 15-20 times a game. I wouldn't be surprised to see him run the 2nd unit. Like I said, he looked really balanced the other night.

Connelly vs Ellis should be interesting Wednesday. Any of you going to the game Wednesday? Tickets are going for as low as $3.
