Our coach relaxing

Hmmm - i certainly don't want to picture the Walrus doing something like this....

I like Dan's approach - get on Facebook like the rest of the teenage world

didn't she just have a baby?

[thrill1]

5 months ago today to be exact. Same day we had ours.

[patdog]

Of course, she'd still be hot after a few cheeseburgers too.

[bulldogbaja]

which is to say, not really all that hot by our standards.

[Bdog9090]

that Mike Hunt has his name listed on fb as Hunt Mike.

[GhostOfJackie]

You are sadly mistaken if you think only teenagers are on facebook.

God she's hot.

[atlwebdawg]

that is why he's on FB

[ScoobaDawg]

and a close eye on his current players.

[Porkchop.sixpack]

All of us interweb message board geeks are known globally for accepting only the hottest of women into our presence.

[sixpackmafia]

papelbon too.... did notice he has a lot of high school 'friends' as well......good to see he is using that as a recruiting tool.....also, may be a good way to find out who he is recruiting.... take note veazy

[Croomp]

you know he's creepin

[The Peeper]

the first friend I saw listed on Dixon's page was none other than "DD" Douchebag Derek Dunn, listed as a MSU Alumni living in Jackson, MS Surprised players are allowd to affiliate with known juicers..................

[ArrowDawg]

..........so-called "social networking site" is an egghead. Same goes for people who think that "tweeting" every little thing they do during their day once they get out of bed is crucial to their existence.

[thrill1]

People can abuse FB and Twitter just like anything else, but keeping up with friends from high school, college, work and such does not make one an egghead.

[bulliegolfer]

and I don't give a tweet what others are doing all day long.

[patdog]

the fact is most teens use it a lot (and a lot of adults do too). If our coach is on it, that's a good thing. He's staying in touch with the marketplace in recruiting like no coach we've ever had.

[patdog]

She's hot. Period.

[PosterFormerlyKnownAsRFAA]

It is very much a social networking site. Just a very specific one.

I find that people who make those comments usually backtrack on it after they come across a friend they hadn't seen in a decade through a site like that.

Or maybe you are just one of the lucky few who really have been able to keep in touch with the people you want to keep in touch with.

[diamond333]

with Dan Mullen on facebook and following him on twitter. Now I'm not huge on updating my statuses (statusi?) on twitter but it's cool to know what my coach is doing to better our program

[msu4life07]

He doesn't spend a whole lot of time on facebook. He has student workers (girls) who keep up with it and decide who to accept as friends, etc. They also have a list of recruits that they are told to add.

However, he does get on there and change things around every once in a while, but it's safe to say that he only spends a few minutes a day on it (at most).

You wouldn't believe how many high school kids add him per day, though...

[Maroon Eagle]

...and I joined because of professional reasons. My job requires that I need to know about what type web services, social networking tools, etc., students use in order so that I can better understand, help, and be available to them if they have questions. That being said, a lot of my friends on Facebook are people that I knew from college, high school, relatives, etc., and it's nice to be able to keep in touch.

So says the guy with over 4100 posts on this message board alone. What if we added up the posts from all the others you're a part of too?

Posting lots on various message boards is not a bad thing at all. But to call out people for spending time on Facebook or using twitter in light of your online time is sort of comical.

[Optimus Prime 4]

especially old friends you don't see a lot.

Saying it's for losers is akin to saying a cell phone is only for dorks. Sorry if I take advantage of conveniences that make my life easier.

[PosterFormerlyKnownAsRFAA]

...I'm just sayin'...

[The Big Slick]

and fark it, I bet that would get a laugh or two.
