Our athletic department should be embarrassed right now by how they handled the Redmond case. Unreal, 18 games for Redmond and a half of football for Manziel. Just embarrassing

Stricklin should ask to reinstate Redmond immediately, he has more than served

his penalty, what a joke.

Ask anybody outside of MS who Will Redmond is. Ask anyone in the country who Johnny Manziel is. There's your simple answer. I just hope we have somebody watching Tyler closely. Wouldn't want someone to hold tires for him on their credit card or accidentally hand him a 20 Buckles or his career will be over.

wouldn't matter. Redmond is hurt. I don't know what is wrong with him, but I heard he is limping around with a knee brace on.

.****. This is exactly what Stricklin should do. What a joke. Hell, Redmond should sue the NCAA. I'm sick of this ********.

Until we update compliance, we will never recruit with the big boys. Plain and simple. And it has to come from above the athletics dept(meaning it isn't in Stricklin's hands). At this point, I'm not sure it ever happens in Mullen's tenure. The "next guy" gets it done because he's BFF with all our biggest money boosters and can use their power to push it through...

SS would never do such a thing because Larry Templeturd wouldn't allow it.

Remember, all of this was directed from the SEC office(^) and the puppets just did what was mandated to keep us from "rufflin' " feathers in the conference!

They had evidence on redmond in the form
Of devinner. Thats all they need.

My beef is that it took a year. This took like a month.

^^^^^^this^^^^^^^ we are pussies if we don't challenge this. We already fired the coach, took scholarship reductions, had it used against us for over a year in recruiting and took hell in the media.

Exactly. Without the brokers talking to the NCAA, which last I hear they weren't doing, what would they have on JFF?

I wish they would say "for found improper benefits under $5,000 its 40% of a season". Redmond losing his freshman year is ********. His suspension this year is pretty reasonable.

Seriously.

Can anybody name a non-MSU player suspended for a year an a half? I can't. Not only that, but I can name 2 MSU players! Redmond and Sidney.

A guy that told a bunch of lies in the media -- is being sued in Tennessee -- and likely heading to prison for running a faux nonprofit? That guy is the credible source per the NCAA?

They had jack **** if we had competence within the department...

Not true. They had evidence because we talked. Nobody gave a **** what Devinner said.

They didn't have **** on Manziel. This half game crap was likely self-imposed most likely just to save face. I'm guessing the NCAA just took what TAM offered up.

What the brokers said means nothing. If they had hard evidence he would have been out 6 games.

We wouldn't have had to answer those questions without De'Vinner running his mouth. And had we been competent in that department, Will would have been prepared to answer the questions and denied the hell out of everything, none of which could probably be proven...

I've had a change of heart after all this... between OM and CJ and now JFF. I once thought that making a change of compliance was nothing more than a formality, but now I am sold. It is ridiculous that we opened our mouth on 3 different occasions and mishandled 3 players across 2 sports by running our damn mouths about rumors. Regardless of what happened, no other school has had 3 players be declared ineligible for as long as we have... twice because of rumors (Sidney and Redmond).

I'm sold. We need a change... bad. The precedent has long been set now that as long as you deny and even half-*** cover your tracks, you can't be punished. We've chosen to run our mouths and only hurt ourselves.

Redmond admitting what he did? Did you miss that part?

Nobody ever gets busted unless there is a paper trail or an admission of guilt.

You obviously missed the part where we sent him to meet with the NCAA without representation or even consultation with a lawyer -- or even the knowledge of it being a "right" for him. A lawyer, who, being worth his salt, would have advised him exactly what to say and even accompanied him in the meeting and done whatever it took to get everyone else involved on the same page.

Who is his admission then on -- if not our compliance department being moronic and hanging a kid out to dry over a jacket, a couple hundred dollars, and a used car discount? EVERYONE gets the amount of impermissible benefits that Redmond did. Every single baseball player even.

Nobody ever gets busted unless there is a paper trail or an admission of guilt.
So, why did we hand all this to them on a silver platter?

Why are you arguing then you hard-headed dipshit? You agree with me. I don't give a damn if it was compliance or not. The fact is, Redmond/MSU/Bracky/whoeverthef*ckelseyouwanttoinclude ADMITTED what happened. And that is why we got busted. Had we stayed silent, we likely would have gotten away with it no matter what Devinner said.

If we would hire a few lawyers, Redmond would be available immediately. The NCAA is supposedly there to help student athletes. Answer me this. How does making an 18yr old sit out for two years help?

This was exactly what was said by bama's rivals guy on radio today.

I think what this proves is cheat and don't admit anything.

I tweeted it to beast man Steve:
@BeastManSteve guy on radio literally just said "it seems unless you turn yourself in, NCAA can't do anything." Was bama rivals guy.

Our ****** WR coach changed his g-damn story. Pretty hard stuff.

if JFF doesn't change his story and he doesn't step on his dick when NCAA does more investigation and comes back for more questioning (and they will) he's solid....if he steps on his dick then the 2013 TAM season goes in the *******.

the 6hrs the NCAA spent interrogating JFF was only to establish a baseline for future questioning.

As part of his sanctions the NCAA sent Johanningmeier down to give him a nancy kerrigan to the knee. It was a choice between that or a more accurate physical manifestation of what they did to him. I can't blame him for selecting the former.

We are either sackless or incompetent or both.

Really no other choices.

The proper game plan for success in NCAA matters has been demonstrated time after time.
Step 1 - hire experienced counsel
Step 2 - deny

Nowhere in there is call the NCAA and say "We did it".
