is back at it again. For those of you who live around Memphis, you probably know that he hosts a talk show on FoxSports 730 from 11:00 to 1:00 with Geoff Caulkins. I usually find this guy pretty entertaining. He actually says some funny **** every once in a while and he is very well connected in the college basketball world. Today they were discussing the University of Memphis vacating their wins from their 07-08 squad. And Parrish chimes with something along the lines of, "let's look at who the 5 dirtiest college basketball programs are, Kentucky, UCONN, Mississippi State and Baylor. I did not hear the last school that he named. This guy just seems like he has an axe to grind with us forwhatever reason. Stansbury's kid must have puked or **** on him on press row or something.

We will never get street credit for having good teams. Alot of people think the only way that we will ever be good at anything is if we cheat. Basketball is a perfect example.
Also, this guy might have not done his homework. Some people actually think that WE might get in trouble for the whole Sidney thing.

Kentucky and Baylor are dirty? I know Kentucky has a dirty coach now but they don't have a long standing reputation for being dirty. And baylor had that thing 5 years ago with the shooting and the coach but I don't ever recall them being dirty (although that may have been better for the program if they were). USC would be a definite top 5 choice. Georgia had screwed up royally there for a second too.
but I believe there is some history with him and Stansbury. Parrish is a complete douchebag asshat, though. Every fanbase in Memphis hates his guts. UofM, UT, Arkansas, Ole Miss, State fans - all hate him. His schtick is to just throw wild accusations out there and see what sticks.
The sports radio in that city at least. The sports radio personalities there have always considered State to be a redneck, beneath every one else, "Why would anyone want to go there", university. It has alot to do with Sports 56 being owned by a reb and their proximity to Oxford. Wineburger and Vernon are/were such *** kissing homers......However, it doesn't help when you sign players like Sidney.
I like winning like the next guy. But get ready for the accusations. Especially, if we win big with the guy playing. The story will be told over and over and twisted into the Sydney's having a million dollar home in Starkville.

because we have had no penalties ever that substantiate such an idiotic comment. A one-time recruitment of Sydney, from Mississippi, is a helluva stretch to make into a top-5 dirty program.
Baylor has been rumored to be totally friggin dirty. Coach Drew has long been rumored to be as dirty as VD. But so far its all totally been rumors.state2006 said:

I'll never forget sitting in the Bama student section a few years ago after a win and as Stans and the team were coming off the court all the bama students started throwing fake dollar bills at him yelling dumb **** like "take all that money to go pay your players" yada yada yada...rick catches one of the dollar bills stops, smiles, looks one of the kids in the eyes and said "this isn't enough, I need more" and walked through the tunnel...

He has also pissed off Barnes and some other Big 12 coaches with some of the things he does/says in recruiting. He's a little like Kiffen just not as attention hungry. Something tells me though that if he didn't get it done last year with that team he had, he might not be in that job very much longer.mstateglfr said:
