whether we can win at Bammer, at Auburn, and at Mississippi

We are 4-1 currently.

Probable home wins left- Mississippi, SC, Auburn, UPig- That would be 8 wins.....
Iffy games at home- LSU and Fla
Road game losses- Kentucky and Tennessee
Road game iify- Bammer, Auburn, Mississippi

We basically have to go 3-2 in our games vs LSU and Fla at home, along with Bammer, Miss, and Aubie on the road...we do that- we are dancing- 11-5 gets us in the Tourney- 10 wins and we are bubble with a ****** seed should we get in

Thank goodness the SEC is down this year.

...the scenario you have presented is a high seeding in the NIT, not a low seed in the tournament.

Up until today, you've been "Mr. NIT." Now your sunshine pump is about to bust because you have it turned up so high.

Now you are saying all we have to do is beat some of the most medioce teams in the country & we are in.

I don't get your flip-flop.

A deep run in the SECT is the only hope for this team as far as making the tournament. (That or going undefeated for the rest of the regular season).

anything less than that and we will need to win 2 in the SEC Tourney, maybe even have to win it.

all I did was show what it would take for us to make the NCAA Tourney. An 11-5 SEC team will not get left out.

Is that what I predict? No, and didnt say I did. I predict we go 9-7, Swat goes pro and leaves us with no post presence in 2010, and we end up out of the Dance aGAIN and putting Ricky out of a job next Spring...

...we need 22 overall wins, since UNA doesn't count. 11 might or might not get us in, and 10 puts us on the wrong side of the bubble.

we have no quality wins at this point. We need to beat Florida at home, hope W Ky's RPI keeps rising and win 11 conf games to have a shot.

Seth Davis just said that as of right now, the SEC is only getting 3 teams in, none in the west.

Im glad we are 4-1 but we have beaten 4 of the 5 worst teams in a bad conference.

whether it counts or doesn't count. Either way, beating them is not going to help our cause b/c no one on the committee is going to make a different decision between 21 wins b/c the game doesn't count or 22 wins b/c the game does count. The game not counting actually helps us b/c they shouldn't lower our RPI.

Total wins is really irrelevant. They are going to scrutinize our awful non-conf play and then they are going to focus on the fact the conference is just awful this year.

...I read so many times where you assured everybody this team is NIT bound, I got a headache from reading it.

Now suddenly you are trotting out tournament scenarios.

The SEC's RPI is way down this year. The league is mired in mediocrity.

This is not a typical year where you go go 2-0 against Ole Miss & 2-0 against Auburn & get in the tournament.

My point being, your initial prediction about the NIT was the accurate prediction.

Yet suddenly you are acting like somebody has bribed you to switch your prediction.

...one of those 12 wins is either @UT or @UK.

If we beat UK @UK, 4 losses will not matter. That will be our "impressive win" that will cover a multitude of sins in the eyes of the committee.

If we lose @UT & @UK, I don't see any combination of (regular season) wins that will make up for that.

We lose those two, and win out on the rest. You really think a 13-3 SEC team get's left out? Hell, 13-3 may be enough to be the regular season SEC Champions.

I agree with most. 11 or ideally 12 wins gets us in. But a great sec tourney run would help

I think Road when at Rupp would be bigger than winning at home against LSU and FL
