As long as we stay of the 8/9 line, I'm good. We have a 50/50 chance to close out the year 4-2, but 3-3 is probably the most likely.
I think last night potentially put us back on the 7 line. 5 is probably our ceiling and that would require an 11-7 finish. Short of winning at Bama, I don’t think any of our remaining games would move us up the ladder a ton individually. Oklahoma/Texas/Arkansas are all just bubble teams with similar resumes to a Georgia or Vandy. LSU is going to be a Q3 game so definitely need to win that one. A&M would be a very good win but it’s a home game so the metric boost isn’t quite as big.

I feel like for us a 6 seed would be the sweet spot. 11 seed first round then a 3 seed. 11 seeds are usually a big conference team that barely got in, has to win a game and has big flaws. A 12 seed is usually a mid major that can shoot lights out so I would not want a 5 seed. Would rather be a 7 than 5.
A 5 seed has been hit or miss for us historically. Our only two Sweet 16 trips ever (including the Final Four run) was as a 5 seed…. We also have three 12 seed upsets on our ledger (Eastern Michigan, Butler, Liberty)
