Check out this quote from Bost in Marcello's latest blog post: “To me, I feel like there’s going to be many more games we’ll lose probably. You’re not going to win them all."

Could you imagine Mullen's reaction if someone had that defeatest attitude on the football team? Especiallyif it was a captain?

Although I doubt he can do it, Stans needs to get this crap fixed.

He's seeing more spirit in practice this week.

"Yesterday we had one of our most competitive practices of the year, just because everybody was competing," Bost said. "There
was a lot of talking going on, everybody competing. That's just
something we've got to bring out of each other, because the way it
seems, it seems we've just let teams run over us, and that's not a good
sign."

I haven't paid attention to anything MState basketball related since shortly after the Hawaii incident.

Someone can let me know when it is obvious that our athletic administration has decided to get serious about our basketball non-program. Until then, I have no interest in following it.

This team needs a coaching change. Stansbury could do some good by following Mullen's lead. I won't pay any attention to this basketball team until then. Looking forward to going to Regionals in baseball and three peating the Egg Bowl.

most people would normally say- "I feel we may lose a game here or there" or "we may lose a few games, but....."

to say:

"I feel like there's going to be many more games we'll lose probably" is just laughable and sad.

but damn. Just give the "SEC is tough but we will give 100% every game and see what happens" speech. I bet Vandy football doesn't talk this about about their upcoming season.

What does it say about bury and his alleged leadership of this collection of mercenaries and division 2 talent that the self-appointed corporal has no hesitation about publicly proclaiming future defeats?

officially dead, and nobody on this staff or player is going to change it. I don't care what anybody says, he won't be relieved of his services until the Hump is empty compared to what it has been in the past. Very few wins left on the schedule, no post season play of any kind spells.....time for a change!

The real question is whether or not they will keep fighting if the fight doesn't seem to be working. When they get down by 10, are they going to fight back or are they gonna be like...

to Tupelo until they get their act together. Our hockey team knows when and how to fight unlike the basketball players and our hockey team attracts a good crowd to go with that

The problem is, they're more likely to fight each other.

The most fire and passion THA DIFFERENCE has shown all season was when he was beating the crap out of Elgin in Hawaii.

You raise an interesting question. Wonder if there will be a week this year in which MSU hockey attendance is bigger than MSU basketball attendance. FlabLoser says it is possible.

Dee Bost is not going to be told what to say. You name one coach who could tell him what he can and cannot say. You're dreaming if you think a coach can exert that kind of control. You are using this statement to "show: your "Stans' program is out of control" thesis. Maybe it is, but this doesn't show ****. It shows that one of the best players in the SEC expresses himself in his own way. He ain't there to say your version of the perfect thing to say.

If you're over 12, then you know that it is harder to speak for yourself than it is to speak for others. Somebody else's troubles? Easy to solve and "they don't make you lose any sleep at night." (Steve Goodman, I think)

I do like the idea of teaching public relations to our athletes, but the idea that every lesson will be perfectly learned ain't that intelligent either, imo. (of course imo, not iyo)
