I'm thinking #2 with Tennessee as #1....not that I care much at this point.
I can see the conversation of us staying one. We beat fsu without Zion in the second half. We beat uva without arguably our most important player. However I think we will be two behind Tennessee.
The voters leapfrogged is to no. 1 after the Kentucky game without Kansas losing so I think it’s possible they reward last night’s victory and keep duke at 1. Tennessee’s schedule doesn’t really compare and they did not look all that impressive in their win yesterday.
Let Tenn. be No. 1 which will just give Duke that much more incentive this coming week.
I’m more interested in in where we stand in the conference. Last night’s win sets us up nicely. Would love to win the ACC
4-1 against teams ranked on the top 13 ain’t bad. 2 wins against the top 5
Tennessee is a good hard nosed old team. They aren’t us talent wise but some of y’all seem to think they’re garbage lol I promise they aren’t
I think Tenn is VERY good. I think we are better; but in my opinion, they are absolutely top 5
I want nothing to do with Tennessee before MSP! Long, gritty, old DUDES! Schofeild is the type of guy I prefer to avoid!
Just hope we stay top 4 til selection Sunday. I want the top seed in the east.
Number one in our hearts, number two in the polls. Unless, UNC jumps us after their dominant performance yesterday against Miami and their team of NBA hall of famers. They had a much more impressive win then ours!
With all due respect (and in my best Ricky Bobby voice: and remember I’m saying with all due respect).....who cares? We still have nearly 3/4 of the ACC season left along with a sneaky good St Johns team....
I think Tennessee may get their turn in the top spot, and that's not a bad decision. They are a very good veteran team, so let them have a little more pressure for a while.
Anyway, long way to go, really doesn't matter right now, we all know which #1 we want, and that is #6!

Mac this is what I want. Seems like we've had trouble getting the #1 seed lately (theres a lot of politics). However,yes this is the most important factor going towards March Madness!

The ACC has not been kind to Florida State. FSU has lost 3 in a row and 4 of their last 5 games to be 1-4 in the ACC.
Nice problem to have....what are we ranked after beating the #4 and last undefeated team in the nation AND NOT how far will we drop.
Hard to avoid, but I hope that we don't become too entitled. IMHO.

Miami’s is Florida. They have hurricanes. That’s an obvious 12 spot jump!
Only ranking which matters is being #1 on the evening of April 8th, I like a healthy Duke team against anyone in both March and April.
We are the best team in the country when fully healthy. Depth is an issue with team. Javin is no where near the player that Amile Jefferson was at Duke. Jack White has moments where he is good but lacks the lateral quickness on defense to guard most three's and not quite tall enough to guard the four or five.
AOC has a better handle that Jack White and has a better outside shot but lacks the bulk to get rebound off the wing.

No Doubt Tennessee is a good club, but they only have one win vs. a ranked team (ZAGS) and lost to the only other ranked team they have plated (KU).
Not nearly as Impressive as wins against:
#2 Kentucky
# 9 Auburn
#8 Texas Tech
#25 Indiana
#11 FSU
#4 UVA
I feel based on SOS Duke should Remain #1.. Especially If the voters take into account that loss #1 Was the 3rd game in 3 days and Loss # 2 was w/o two starters.
Either way this is a unique time for Me personally. As a UT undergrad and having received my Masters Degrees at Duke, CBB couldn't get much better. I was at UT during the Misery of the Kevin O'Neil and Jerry Green era's...Not a big Rick Barnes fan but cannot argue with results.
If we meet UT in the Final Four, I will consume copious amounts of bourbon before,during and after

On the Duke Basketball Report Podcast today, a guy from Vegas came out and said Duke would be 4.5 pt favorites if they played Tennessee today on a neutral floor.
I think our upcoming schedule hurt us. We have 3 snoozers, and the "best" gaemon the schedule is vs a wobbly ND team. Keeping us at number 1 while we play bad teams, arguably the weakest stretch on our schedule, is less appealing than making UT number 1, given that they probably have more loseable games on their schedule. UT will probably suffer a loss over the next 2-4 weeks, safely moving Duke back to number 1 as we get healthy and start facing tougher teams. Everybody wins.
