I'm not sure if it's been discussed but anyone think coach Leach will keep our same traditions in place. Specifically our Dawg pound Rock and Don't Stop Believing. (Even though COVID will effect attendance)

It makes us look like thugs and that type of attitude carried onto the field affects us negatively in the officials eye like at KY 2 years ago
That behavior was from SchloeMo installing zero discipline in our football program. It makes us look like thugs and that type of attitude carried onto the field affects us negatively in the officials eye like at KY 2 years ago
I may be in the minority but I think it's time to retire the dawg pound rock.

Yeah the current iteration of the DPR can’t hold a candle to the original. It has looked like a bunch of guys just going through the motions for years with zero excitement or passion.

This is exactly my point. Back in the day it was much more spontaneous and was usually fueled by a big play or swing in momentum. Now it's something they do before the opening kickoff, where half the team forgets about it. It just feels forced now.
Memories of the entire freakin' stadium doing the DPR in 99 during that streak of comeback wins we had that year, and especially after the game winning FG in the egg bowl that year, are easily among my fondest MSU football memories ever. What we do now ain't that.

Just like Don’t Stop Believin’ it’s gotten diluted, they need to just pick their spots in doing it.
Maybe its time to create something new. I believe in traditions but I could put it to rest for something new.
I AGREE with Pine Grove... no... more... dunks!
Our whole bench and kickoff team against LSU in 2017 when they went crazy is what we need to act like if we are going to continue the dpr. It was natural and not forced. That looked more like the dpr than any actual dpr we have done since the 90s.
It’s no where near the same but most that remember the electricity that it brought in the 90’s enjoy its nostalgia still. We may not have gotten to 17 points all that often back then but I loved how those teams would hit you in the mouth, and the DPR embodied that.
Your mom looks like a thug with KY.

No, you’re not in the minority....it was good 20 yrs ago but it’s time to move on and away from it.

And your mom identifies as a dude and you are ok with that.
That was a great moment and certainly better than any DPR we've done in a long time. Another couple of favorites of mine are the video of Croom after the 2007 Alabama win talking to the team in the locker room and saying "let's rock it", and then the DPR breaks out. And then the 2010 Arkansas game when Welcome to the Jungle played over the PA right as we were starting overtime. That was freaking awesome.
There is a big difference in manufactured excitement and organic excitement, and our fans can tell the difference. It's why Don't Stop Believin' during the 2014 Auburn game was such a big hit but our fans cringe when it's played as we are getting our brains beat in by an SEC West rival. You really have to pick your spots with those things.
