Deputies Brad Smith, Tony Netherland, Wes Shivers and Investigator Randy Chatham
arrived within minutes, secured the residence and apprehended a Rankin County
man inside the house, subsequently identified as Garrett Lee Fairbanks, a 29
year old male of 113 Wildwood Lane (Bellgrove subdivision) Brandon, MS

After he entered high school, Wes decided that he wanted to devote all of his time to American football. He stopped playing all sports with the exception of football and spent his time training to be a champion. After graduation, Shivers attended a junior college prior to attending Mississippi State University. Shivers played on the football team as an offensive tackle.[4] He was named a Junior College All-American, as well as being on the All-Southeastern Conference team. Shivers was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the 7th round of the 2000 draft and played three games before being cut.[5] Shivers became a police officer after retiring but retired from that to pursue MMA.

He worked for the Sheriff's Department after he left the Falcons and before he started up the MMA. I think while he was doing the MMA thing he also worked with some construction or scaffolding company. But now he's back with the RCSD.
