I loved that show. Oh, Deadwood too. Fantastic. There is no way I can actually pick out my favorite, I'm sure I've skipped my top 10 probably.

Lost is pretty good too, but it depends on how they end this thing.

Comedy - You'd probably have to take Seinfeld over Arrested Development since AD was taken off the air after only 3 seasons or something.

Best overall is The Shield.

or It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. "Best" can mean so many different things, but these are probably my favorite.

the crotchety woman bailif is trying to get a husband to help his wife give birth. He passes out. The bailif says "Just like a man. When you want them up they're down, and when you want them down they're up." Classic.

Hands down, for me. As for sitcoms, I think I will probably watch reruns of the Fresh Prince as long as they are on tv. Saved by the Bell too.

I watched the first couple of seasons. It was entertaining. Not a top notch series though.</p>

is the best show that nobody knows about. If you liked 2 of these 3 shows:

Lost
X-Files
CSI

...then Fringe is freaking awesome. I can't believe it was even close to cancellation discussion recently.

The new V do-over is damn good too.

When you get into "all time" shows you have to look at how it holds up in reruns. The best shows for that imo

Andy Griffith
Dick Van Dyke Show
Everybody Loves Raymond
Columbo

Of newer shows that might turn into classics
Entourage
Modern Family
Stargate SG1
Friends

Seinfeld's last show kind of ruined the show's legacy in that it pointed out how horrible those characters were as people. Now when I watch it I always think of that and don't like them.

MASH became too preachy especially when it became Alan Alda centered.
