The SEC has been giving strong hints that it wants to add another SEC game to the schedule. So all SEC teams will have only 3 OOC games. This hurts all the lower level teams, incuding both Mississippi teams, since we can no longer schedule 4 cream puffs and hope to catch a couple of SEC wins.

I am not sure of when this will occur, but most likely in 2015. The Big 10 is doing this and have annoucned it. Slive wants to copy cat this and signals have been sent on this. Honestly, all us cellar dwellars in the West and the East should fight this. It significantly reduces our shot at a 6-6 or better record.

Does anyone know if the SEC has adopted this yet?

The SEC has already announced that there will be an 8-game conference schedule in 2014 and 2015 with the option to revisit it following the 2015 season.

I don't think the SEC is ever going to move to a 9-game schedule. I think it's going to stay at 8 and encourage teams to play 1 or 2 BCS teams out of conference.
