Anyone can see that tanner allen is struggling to see the ball right now. His swings arent even close. So here he comes up early in the game with 2 on and no outs. Whats the call? Also consider this game has all the early signs of being a low scoring affair. You bunt the damn runners over and play for 1 or 2 early. We let him swing..... annnd miss. 1 out runners still stuck and we get 0. Now ill admit 2 things. 1. Idk who makes that bunt call. Maybe its not hendo.
2. You can say we'd score regardless. Or that he bunts the ball correctly. But given the situation and his struggles, its the right call. I felt evem then that was a huge mistake.

All that said im ok with the loss. Lets get this done tomorrow and get on to omaha!

Actually, with Allen struggling tonight, when he came up after Rowdey’s triple, that should have been a squeeze attempt. I think he took a first pitch fastball. If the squeeze works, we Lead and put the pressure back on them.

It would definitely need to be the suicide squeeze and if he misses the bunt attempt the run is dead out coming home. But the issue was Allen being 0 fer to that point. Very unlikely squeeze candidate, but ...... it didn’t happen.

If I was very sensitive you would see responses like this way more often. I keep my mouth shut for my own sanity, but I fully admit that the constant drum of negativeness from the "coaches" on here towards our actual coaches' decisions drives me way more nuts than it should. Goes all the way back to Coach34 and Stans.

A sac bunt in the first inning sends a message to the players that we can’t score on this guy. Not exactly a confidence booster. However, as soon as the triple was hit, I told my buddy, “Gotta squeeze here.” Infield in changes nothing.

Not as bad as leaving it up to Neff to get us to the CWS.
