I'm not a real BB expert but isn't this primarily a result of not having a single point guard who sets guys up for shots in rhythm? Hmmm, could that be because more often than not there’s no rhythm to the offense, forcing guys who are used to catch-and-shoot to try to create off the dribble and take a contested jump shot?
Or, maybe it’s because no one except Gaines seems capable — or willing — to try for a layup?
Yes it would be helpful to “make shots” but there are underlying issues.
