Have we figured out how to win the close games or what? Mullen has given us more than our fair share of close games in his first 2 seasons so far but as long as we are on the winning side I will take it.

When the opposing team starts deep, he plays safeties deep, corners on the edges, and LB's back. He tries to keep the clock running without giving up the home run. As the opponent gets closer to the end zone he can dial it up when the safeties don't have to play as deep. So far, he has been brilliant.

I certainly give our CB's a lot of credit. They play very hard all game long. And Broomfield especially has a knack for jumping a route every 2-3 games. But our corners aren't anywhere near what you need to have a great defense in the SEC. 2 of our top 3 are still sophomores and may still develop into competent players. But man alive, it seems like every play we keep them 10 yards off the WR to prevent big plays. I don't know how our defense keeps opponents off the scoreboard as much as they do. A real credit to Diaz and the team.

Hopefully, as the offense progresses, we will be seeing fewer of these last minute nail biters. Right now we just can't put enough points on the board to put these teams away earlier. More points and more time of possession should equate to more comfortable final minutes.

1) Will we handle the crowd noise? Our offense has suffered several false starts this season and in Florida we struggled with that. Hoping we improve in Tuscaloosa
2) Can we continue to maintain the ball and not turn it over. We almost had a turnover on the bobbled snap by Relf last night. Our center has hike the ball higher.
3) Kickoffs are about as painful as they come to watch for our team. We need to boot it deep and pin them instead of giving up so many yards each time.
4) Will our punter continue to drive it? and I want to see him run for the first down if the field opens up. He missed what looked to be a prime opportunity last night.
5) Relf and our WRs have to step it up in the passing game. Relf's inaccuracy is going be a huge factor in two weeks if we can't win the line of scrimmage in the running game.
