I have been avoiding the whole masoli discussions because I didn't want to get pissed-off by fellow state fans acting like we wouldn't have taken a great QB if we were in the same position. But once I realized that his transfer is immediate and he is only playing one year (grad school, correct?), I realized he will damn near be an actual professional athlete because he will never attend a single class and still be able to play a full season of football while on full scholarship (excluding a possible post-semester bowl appearance).

BTW, I'm assuming he will be on scholarship... I'm still so far out of the loop on this kid that I have no idea about his scholarship situation.

I'm also assuming that he couldn't be ruled academically ineligible until after the fall semester grades came out. Since he is obviously in school only to play football and get to the league, what would be the point of even going to a single class? I guess maybe a draftee would like his "character analysis" to look a little better for the draft process but I doubt that guy has even considered that yet.

Even Dontae Jones had to go to school for a full semester before taking the "school is for fools" route after the NCAA Tourney the following spring.

In summation although I've already redundantly expressed the idea.... Masoli will play football for Ole Miss while never actually going to school at Ole Miss

It's not like he'd be the only player not to go to class this fall. And the fact he graduated in 4 years tells me he's at least taken school seriously in the past. No real reason to think he'd just quit going to class this fall.

parks and recreation seriously. He is at OM for football, thats it... I honestly do not blame him either. If he can keep his nose clean and have a decent year I can seethis getting him into the CFL.

When I was working on my MSEE, I vaguely recall that a C grade = failure.

Who am I kidding...he's in the flagship's Parks and Recreation program. Probably just needs to navigate the monkey bars to get a passing grade.
