So Mark Fox drawing up play after play to get wide open 3s because our D can't fight thru a screen isn't Bury's fault? This is February. We are getting punked by a zone defense that the Stansbury stand around STILL can't figure out in OT

at the end of regulation and in OT? Who took home 3 time outs, when we got a rebound down 2 with 7 seconds left in OT? Yeah, that's our players' fault**

It was a bad effort butif you want to blame something, it was the offensive rebound difference. Ole Miss beat us there the same way. Other than Bost, we looked like we were in slow motion and Moutrie was not around most of the game. I know the Stans bashers are in full glory but this isn't all on him

First of all, we're not going to draw up anything. We might tell them what to run but it would be something we already do, and we don't need a time out for that.

Second, you don't give UGA a timeout to set their D and sub, especially if you are happy with the five you have out there.

Third, you have a senior PG. He can handle listening to the coach and dribbling at the same time.

Fourth, what did we have...25 second when we crossed mid court? Plenty of time to get everyone in position.

But you see what kind of shot that got us.

Now, the end of OT? That was a cluster. You call that timeout to get guys in a position to score instead of running up the court.

I heard a rumor from a close source that before the school year started that he instructed both Mullen and Stans to save as many timeouts as possible. My source tells me he plans on using the timeouts we save for a new youtube video**

You and Hanmu are such predictable apologists for Stans. It's beyond ridiculous. Where's your other buddy, BriantheDawg? He needs to chime in too.

it was a piss poor effort all around. Came out flat. Never played hard on defense. Never played hard on offense. Bost was the only player on the floor giving effort.

I'm sorry, but relentless EFFORT is coachable. Be sure to let me know when you see our football or baseball teams play an entire game that laxidasically...

Hoods awful pass for a Ga lay up was stans fault. The fact we were gassed was pretty obvious and Arnett was simply not in the game. 18 offensive rebounds for Ga and we were playing man to man, that is stans fault too. Coaches get the credit and have to take the blame but players have a responsibility too. I thought Dee rushed the shot at the end but if we had taken the timeout we may not have even got a shot. Who knows, we lost it is over and you and your buddies can gloat until Tuesday.

It's not always Stans fault when we lose. Sometimes we just get outplayed. Losing at Bud Walton, Tad Smith and the O-Dome....that just happens. If you can't see a difference in those losses and today, then you need to check yourself into Whitfield. It's easy to cherry pick a few bad plays out of a 45 minute game and lay the blame for it at the feet of Hood's pass or our energy level. We had pretty good energy when we beat a much better Alabama team on a Thursday/Saturday turnaround. How does that figure into your excuse making? We're in year 14 of this stuff though, so I don't know why anyone is surprised. I'm not. Nor will I be surprised if we win the two road games and then beat Kentucky. Not surprised one bit.

Effort and conditioning ALWAYS falls at the feet of a coach. Those are problems that he should have had corrected before we ever stepped on the floor for the first game this season. Know when else is a short turn around? The sec and NCAA tourneys. It's no excuse. And before the depth excuse is given, depth is largely also on coaching(barring injuries). Go look at Osby's numbers at Ok and then lets talk about depth...

He recruited and coached every player on the court and he hired all the assistant coaches. If they screwed the pooch today, he should have recruited more and better players or he should have coached them better. Once a coach gets to his 5th year, no matter what happens good or bad, it's ALL on him. Stans is a good coach and I like him, but please stop with the ******** of excusing him when we play like ****.

And we had 5 timeouts to begin OT. Has that ever happened? The game went to OT and we never called a timeout in the second half? And when we finally called a timeout, we got an 18 foot jumper from our #5 8 seconds into the shot clock? I'm not one to place blame on any individual. Our rebounding was pathetic. Our effort was pathetic. And our strategy was stupid.
