Overall, the gameday experience was better than last year. But...

Is it just me, or is the sound system worse than ever this year? 90% of the time all I could hear was continuous bass from DJ Scratch and Sniff. Forget about trying to understand anything said over the PA system. Something was said about the drone show that didn't happen. But I have no idea what it was. Each first down all I could hear is "mumble mumble mumble bulldogs" before everyone gave the "HAIL STATE!". I know they have the ability to make adjustments to improve it because when they played the pregame "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and "Don't Stop Believin" in the 4th quarter, they were Cristil clear. (see what I did there?) I don't mind the stadium's sound system having the bass turned up for some things, but the continuous unrecognizable bass drowning out everything else is very annoying. Now get off my lawn.

They’ve already fixed that. It wasn’t showing up the other night but they didn’t want to reboot the screen during the game.

It seems like they’ve fixed it after the season for the last 10 years or so. Maybe my hearing just gets worse every year

Who cares about the PA guy? They could turn that mike off and I wouldn't miss it one bit!

All I know is the sound system has been a complaint every season since 2008. Throughout that time it’s been upgraded, but people still complain. At this point it’s just part of football season for me.

They can fix it now... with a turn of a knob or punch of a button. They do it when playing For Whom the Bell Tolls and Don't Stop Believin. Both of those sound fine on the current equipment - 1000% better than the nonstop conglomeration of bass that is played the rest of the game.

I'm sure that was a good decision. I suspect that thing doesn't boot up in a minute.
