It’s called common sense.Goes back to my original statement. We don’t know what anyone is “likely advising”. Probably not best to insinuate anything when it comes to family advise unless you actually know the family.

The past guys who came back out of the draft had no issues like you are worried about. It feels like you're trying to preemptively soften the blow if he leaves. I think he comes back, but if he doesn't it really sucks for us.
Apparently, he's got one more workout today. I assume he's waiting to get feedback from as many sources as possible before he exits. What is it exactly Oweh is waiting for? He’s not on anyone’s radar
You gonan pretend like him hurting his wrist and missing the final group of games didn’t hurt. He plays in those games and he would be in the late first round conversations. Robinson was playing the best basketball of his career before he got hurtSpeaking of Jackson Robinson. After waiting till the last minute to opt out last year and returning to college. Is he projected to get drafted? Last year he was considered a huge win coming to Lexington. He turned down the NBA to come to Kentucky. Did he hurt his draft status coming back to college?
This. If someone says “hey come talk to us and we will cover your expenses to do so” you go. I don’t like it either being this late but I can’t fault him per se. Just feels like a last ditch effort I leave though and I hate that. But it is what it is.Personally I think he comes back but who knows.
One thing I don’t think I’ve seen mentioned in discussions about why someone would be “getting feedback” and playing out every workout: I don’t think the feedback is about what he needs to work on. I think he is probably more aware than anyone else about the things he needs to work on. He can get that info pretty easily.
Instead I think it’s smart to get as much in person time as possible with any team that shows interest because IMO many teams are looking for fit and personality and how players will fit within their culture.
Getting face to face time with execs and scouts can lay the foundation for getting a contract this year or more likely IMO next year.
By all accounts he’s a great character guy. That comes through in meeting someone in person. Even if he isn’t drafted this year, that first in person impression could be the difference in a team drafting you if they have met you and get a sense of how you will fit within their team culture.
Please note I have never been through the NBA draft process so all of this is JMHO. The feedback I got in high school from my coach was “you have deceptive speed. You’re even slower than you look up close”.
Sounds like description of my high school team. We weren’t very big, but we were slow!Personally I think he comes back but who knows.

Yep. Like what happened to Levis on the football side. He was apparently give a soft guarantee he’d go much earlier than he did and apparently that was a big fat lie.All it takes is for one team to lie to him. One GM's manipulative lie, trying to keep OO as a plan B or C, could be all the difference for us in March. Scary thought.
Rondo was also an elite on ball defender and should be a first ballot Hall of famerNot in any way. Rondo was an elite ball handler and passer. One of the best point guards to play in the NBA. Oweh is neither of those things.
Rondo also had an exceptional basketball IQ.Rondo was also an elite on ball defender and should be a first ballot Hall of famer
Are you for real? Are you saying that every kid who puts his name in the draft only cares about the NBA? These kids grow up dreaming of playing in the league and Oweh is doing nothing but what the rules allow him to do. He wants to play in the league and is trying to make the best decision possible for his family. He may be toxic if he comes back. He evidently cares more about the NBA and may turn into a selfish player trying to prove himself if he returns.
I say let’s “move on” and try to get a replacement or next man up.
It was a joke! Are you for real? Are you saying that every kid who puts his name in the draft only cares about the NBA? It wasn’t a joke. It was a horrible take and now that half the board has told you that you are an idiot, you are trying to backpedal. It was a joke!
Just tried ruffling a few feathers
It’s part of the new age college basketball.
If that was a joke and meant to be funny, don't quit your day job.. if you have one.It was a joke!

'bout as popular as playing defense in a pickup game.Right now would be perfect for one of my false alarm official threads. I think I’m done with those tho they aren’t to popular on here lol.

This. You go try out. There is no downside for 00 to do this. It is only us impatient BBN fans who are inconvenienced.This. If he wants to get his career going in the NBA he needs another year in college to work on his game. That’s like going into the military as enlisted hoping one day to become an officer. His career in the NBA right now if bouncing through the G-League hoping to get small contracts. He will make far less money than returning to college.Everyone is so obsessed about money. Dude's brother is in the NFL. His family is already set. He wants to join his brother by being a professional. He wants to get his career going. I don't know why this is so hard for fans to understand. Oweh is not in the same financial situation as most others, so it's not the be all end all for him. That's why he's doing everything to stay in the draft. He may come back, but it's not cause of the money.
Here's hoping he comes back to UK but I wouldn't be shocked if he stays in the draft.Otega he's having his last try out today and the decision was expected tonight coach Pope says do whatever your heart is telling you to do
It’s always been this way. People are living in some sort of alternate reality if they still believe Oweh only wanted feedback or was looking for some first round guarantee.Nobody stays this long, until the last minute, unless they are trying to hear what they want to hear. Safe to say I think Oweh really wants to get drafted and he's trying his hardest to see which team will take him.
Oweh is a good defender. Not on Rondo’s level. But that’s one of his strengths.Rondo was also an elite on ball defender and should be a first ballot Hall of famer
I never back-peddle.Yeah, it wasn't a joke. Back-peddling at it's finest on that one.
Maybe, but putting the 3.5 million along with it made me think he might actually know.Unless he just provided another update, Trilly simply said it was likely Oweh returned to UK. He wasn't confirming he was back.
Joe Adams reported it on his subscription Instagram about 15 minutes agowho?
Hope your right....Maybe, but putting the 3.5 million along with it made me think he might actually know.
Just passing along what I heard.
That fills me with less confidence and how does that dude have a sub service ? They can pay me half and I’ll spew BS for them a couple times a week.Joe Adams reported it on his subscription Instagram about 15 minutes ago
