Have any stats on Harding's 3 point shooting this year? Just from what I've read & some highlights I've seen it seems like he's shot & made quite a few. Interested in that & his percentage
As far as I know, and I know very little, Moline does not release individual player stats during the season, unless you know someone that is associated with the team. If anyone else knows a way to get individual and team stats for Moline I'd be interested to see that too...

Watched a replay of tonight's Moline/Galesburg game and Moline won 83-36. Owen Freemen scored 23 points, had 8 or 9 rebounds and 3 assists, Brock Harding had 5-3 points field goals and end up with 21 points and 8 assists, neither Iowa recruit played more then 21 minutes of the 32 minute game.
Biggest game of the year tomorrow night when Moline takes on number 1 in Illinois class 3A Chicago Simeon in the Benet Academy Shootout in Lisle, Ill. at 6pm. Here's hoping for a great game tomorrow,

Moline lost by one to Simeon, who might be the best team in the state this year.

Moline was behind all night and eventually took the lead in the game with under 2 minutes left 64-63. Unfortunately, Moline couldn't hold the lead and had to foul Simeon players hoping they would miss. Simeon players obliged by missing 2 of 3 free throws allowing Moline 1 more opportunity to win the game with 6 seconds left, but a Harding pass to a Moline player and a layup attempt was blocked on the backboard as time expired. Game over Simeon 67 Moline 66. Owen Freeman ended up with 25 points and 8 boards and Brock Harding having a miserable night shooting, end up with 16 on 5 of 19 but a lot of those shots dipped in and out. Close but no cigar. Next game for Moline is on Tuesday, another conference game against Geneseo in Wharton at 7pm.

Moline won the game tonight against a vastly undernamed Geneseo, Ill. team by the score of 87-38 with a rolling 4th quarter clock to go to 20 and 3 on the season, Brock Harding hit 4 of 5 3-pointers and finished with 14 points and Owen Freeman ended up with 8 points and 9 rebounds. Both players played under or around 8 minutes of playing time as coach Sean Taylor played his entire bench heavy minutes. Friday night Moline takes on cross town rival Rock Island at Wharton Field House. Moline hasn't beaten Rock Island at Moline in the last 5 or 6 year so I'm guessing Moline has had this game marked on their calendrer for some time.
Saturday Moline travels to the Glenbrook South Shootout to play fellow top 5 class 4A opponent Rolling Meadows. Rolling Meadows has a 23 Minnesota sighed recruit in 6-6 guard Cameron Christie. I'm picking Moline to win both games.

This weeks new number 2 in Illinois's class 4A, Moline Maroons, surgically took apart cross town rival Rock Island by a score of 94-66. Brock Harding did everything except sell popcorn by scoring 30 points on 5 o 10 from 3, played an outstanding floor game and even became Moline's all time leading scorer in the 2nd period with 1678 points, but unfortunately coach Taylor sat him down after he received a tech for some unknown reason with 1 minute left in the 3 quarter and did not play the rest of the game.
Owen Freeman was hit with 2 fouls in the 1st quarter and sat a majority of the 1st half only netting 4 points at half, but finished with 11 points, 8 rebounds and numerous altered Rock Island shots and at the end of the game he received an award for getting to 1000 points for his high school career.
Tomorrow night Moline goes against another top 10 4A opponent in Rolling Meadows at the Glenbrook South Shootout at 6pm.

I made my way to the game last night after polishing off a number 11 king with onions, peppers, and extra spray. BH started off cold, air balled his first shot and missed a free throw. However, the kid plays with a ton of pizzazz and likes to drop dimes galore. Things got a little chippy early in the game with a hard foul by Rocky that resulted in a technical. Rocky coaches were complaining to refs about something midway through the game and at the half BH jogged by Rocky’s bench and pointed to the score board. Moline was up 17 at half. Freeman has some size to him but will need a couple of years of strength training and conditioning to put on good weight.
Another guy to keep an eye on is Sophomore Trey Taylor. 6’5” Taylor has a nice stroke and a bounce to his step. Taylor was making 3 after 3 during warmups. I’m gonna try and hit Frank’s in Silvis before I head back to warmer climates. Peace out QCA

You mentioned Franks Pizza but forgot to mention where "number 11 king" came from. "Hungry Hobo" deserves to be mentioned too.....a Quad City sandwich staple.

Tonight was a statement night! Moline completely dominated the 7th ranked Rolling Meadows team by a score of 72-53. Brock Harding completely controlled the game from start to finish and ended up with 26 points, 7 assists. Owen Freeman started the game hot and established himself as a force inside by scoring 12 in the 1st and putting Rolling Meadows back on their heels with Moline leading after 1, 22-6 and 36-20 at the half.
Owen finished with 25 and around 10 boards. Moline limited Minnesota's recruit Cameron Christie to 5 in the 1st half and a total of 19. Rolling Meadows ended the game going 5 for 21 from 3 as Moline is now 22-3 on the season after losing their 1st game against Milwaukee Lutheran from Milwaukee Wisconsin back in November.

There are some reports that Owen Freeman had 26 points in the game against Rolling Meadows. I'd like to know how that is possible on 12-2 point field goals and 1 free throw. I haven't figured it out yet myself....

Moline took a big step tonight in taking control of the Western Big 6 Conference by defeating the 8th ranked team in Illinois's class 4A, Quincy Blue Devils by a score of 57-46, at Quincy and in do so limited Quincy to 16 points total in the 2nd half.
The first half was a parade of free throws as the Moline team got in foul trouble as Quincy converted 11 out of 12 free throws and Moline was 9 out of 11. The half finish with Moline up 32-30.
Owen Freeman paced Moline tonight with 16 points and around 10 rebounds, Brock Harding has his worst night of shooting, going 0 for 8 from 3 and even missed 2 layups late in the 4th quarter, finished with 12.
In winning, Moline go's 11-0 in the Western Big 6 Conference and a 2 game lead with 3 games left and is 23-3 on the season.
Moline takes on Bloomington tomorrow night at the Normal West Shootout at 7pm.
Next Tuesday, Moline plays at home against another cross town rival in United Township of East Moline, again at 7pm.

Update: Moline's game against Bloomington is at 3:30pm not 7pm.

This afternoon Moline won it's 24 game against 3 losses with a win against a young athletic Bloomington High School with a running 4 quarter by the score of 81-53. Owen Freeman playing just over 2 quarters finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Brock Harding came out of his 1 game shooting slump and made 4 - 3 pointers in 9 attempts and finished with 16 points with about a minute more playing time then Owen.
On Tuesday night Moline can clinch the Western Big 6 title by defeating United Township High School of East Moline at Wharton Field House 7pm. Another cross town rival.
On the season after 27 games, Moline on offense is averaging 73 points per game and giving up 51.

Next year from the three we will have Sandfort x 2, Dix, Harding, with an occasional 3 from Ulis, Perkins &McCaffrey. I like Dembele & Freeman for a bit of size and rebounding, but as freshmen would like to see a veteran or two. Not sure what Mulvey & Ogundele will bring, but would be nice to add a transfer in the Rebracca mode.

Dix is very solid and I don’t think he’s 100% yet following his injury-he’s only going to get stronger. And Ulis has worked hard on his shot-looks a lot better. I agree that a strong inside presence for a year would be helpful as Freeman builds strength. He will be a stud though. A true stretch 5.

It will be interesting to see how Riley Mulvey is used next year. I just don't see Fran going out and getting a big in the portal, even though I agree he should. The only reason Riley isn't being used is because of Rebraca. I think Riley will anchor the middle next year and have Patrick, if he comes back, Payton, and or Dembele or Freeman at the other wing.
Lots of options for Fran next year, whether he stays with what he has or go's out and brings in reinforcements from the portal, I still think that Riley is going to make an impact next year....

Agreed.

If we have Mulvey, Ogundele, Dembele & Freeman eating up 50-60 minutes per game, they need to rebound and play solid defense to earn their minutes, scoring would be a plus. The other 20 we could see Sandfort & Patrick play the 3 & 4 when we go small.

With no reliable known quantity inside the paint (scoring) shooting will be incredibly important.

An almost full house watched Moline down United Township of East Moline by the score of 71-54 there by clinching a share of the Western Big 6 with 2 conference games left in the season. Brock ended up with 17 points and 8 assists and made some spectacular plays in the 2nd half to keep Moline comfortable in front, Owen ended up with 10 points and 9 rebounds as 2 other Moline players Jasper Ogburn with 18, and Trey Taylor with 15 also paced Moline on the evening. Moline on defense kept East Moline's big 3 to under 10 points all game.
The game was also taped to air on Mediacom 22 in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois multiple times starting tomorrow at 4:30pm. Moline travels to Sterling Illinois on Friday for their 2nd to last road conference game at 7pm and on Saturday they play their last home game at 3pm against Normal Community High School after recognizing their 6 graduating seniors at 2:30pm.
If you miss Saturdays game, Moline's sectional games, if they get through their sub sectional at Bradley- Bourbonnais will be played at Moline's Wharton Field House Wednesday Mar 1st and Friday Mar 3rd.

Tonight, Moline withstood a feisty Sterling Warrior team and came away with a hard fought 73-64 win at Sterling.
Owen Freeman had 21 points, 9 boards, and 5 blocks and Brock Harding came away with 15 points and 6 assists.
In taking down Sterling Moline comes within 1 win of becoming the 1st Western Big 6 team to go undefeated in conference play since the conference expanded a few years ago.
More importantly today it was announced that Moline's 1st round opponent on Wednesday the 22nd will be Minooka High School the 8th seed at 6pm at the Bradley-Bourbonnais Reginal which is about 28 miles south of Joliet, Illinois.

Today was all about the seniors on senior day as Moline completely dominated Normal Community High School by the score of 64-39. Moline's coach substituted often and played everyone that suited up as Moline ran away from Normal from the tip. It was 16-6 after 1, 36-12 at half, and 55-27 after 3. and became a rolling clock after Moline scored the 1st basket to start the 4th quarter. Owen Freeman only scored 6 points but played lockdown defense on Normal's 2 big men Jaheem Webber, and Kobe Walker and Jasper Ogburn frustrated their best guard, Braylon Roman all game long with the help of the rest of the Maroon team. Brock ended up playing the most minutes though the start of the 4th quarter and had 13 points and numerous assists. It was a good warmup to lead Moline to the post season as Tuesday's game against conference foe class 1 A, Alleman at Alleman will provide more minutes for Moline reserves.

Moline tonight completed a perfect 14-0 conference sweep of the Western Big 6 by defeating an under maned conference foe class 1A Alleman Pioneer team by the score of 69-28. Moline finishes the regular season 28-3. Both Iowa recruits played approximately 16 minutes of game time. Brock ended up with 14 and Owen had 12.
Moline next plays in 7 days on the 22 of February against 4-25 and 8th seed. Minooka high school in the Bradley-Bourbonnais Regional Semifinal game at 6pm.

Tonight Moline shook off 8 days of rust and downed a feisty Minooka Indian team by the score of 74-54. Owen Freeman had 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 blocks and Brock Harding ended up with 17 points and 6 assists.
2 other Maroons also ended up in double figures. Moline next plays Bradley-Bourbonnais (17-14) on their home floor or Plainfield South (14-17) on Friday night at 7pm, that game is being played after the Moline game.
Update: Moline will play Bradley-Bourbonnais on Friday as they beat Plainfield South by the score of 54-50.

Tonight Moline won their 30th game of the year and a Regional Championship by dominating Bradley-Bourbonnais on their home court by the score of 71-39. Brock Harding started on fire tonight, scoring 14 points in the 1st quarter with the help of 4 for 4 from 3, finishing 6 of 7 from 3 for the game and 26 points total along with 5 assists. Owen Freeman finished with 15 points on 8 of 11 from the field, 4 blocks, 8 rebounds, and numerous steals, despite not scoring in the 1st period.
Moline will face a previous opponent from just 2 weeks ago in Normal Community on Moline's home floor this coming Tuesday at 7pm.
I'm sure it won't be as easy as that game was, a 64-39 win, as Normal will be out for revenge, should be a great game.

Maxpreps.com might have the stats. That is the website most H S conferences use for all sports. The coaches post rosters, results, and stats, etc. Some coaches wait until the end of the year to post stats because other coaches use the site for scouting purposes. Many conferences though require the stats by the end of the year in order for the players to be eligible for post season awards.

Moline quickly dispelled any idea that Normal Community high school had of upsetting the Maroons on this night by jumping out to a 16-6 lead after 6 minutes in the 1st quarter and never allowed Normal to get any closer then 5 points the rest of the game. Brock Harding on a night that the 3 pointer was not dropping 0-6 ran the offense and made some jaw dropping layups that made you go " how did he do that". Brock ended up with 20 points on the night 6 of 15 from the field and 8 of 9 from the line. Owen Freeman was spectacular, played great defense on Normal's two 6-9 centers, 12 points, 7 rebounds on the night, and made numerous steals, 2 that ended up with easy layups for Moline. 1 was a steal and romp down the court and stuff by Owen and the other resulted in an easy layup by Brock on a pinpoint pass by Owen.
The other Maroons weren't too bad either. The 3 amigo's of Trey Taylor, Grant Welch, and Jasper Ogburn were not going to be left out and provided the spark that Moline needed by playing great defense, getting steals, and making 3's to give Moline the cushion it needing to advance to the sectional finals on Friday against O'Fallon Twp. high school, 7pm at Wharton Field House.
Moline broke out a little used offensive weapon in the 4th quarter, the little used 4 corner keep away with Owen in the middle and it worked to not only run time off the clock, but get points at the free throw line, it was a fitting end to a marvelous game against 2 heavy weight teams.

In the 1st sell out of the season of Wharton Field House, Moline throttled the smaller O'Fallon team and won going away by the score of 62-38. Brock Harding got the crowd into it by draining his 1st shot, a 3 pointer to open the scoring, and Moline led 21-7 after 1 quarter, 36-25 at half, and 54-29 after 3.
Owen Freemen, the focus of O'Fallon's defense in the 1st quarter was surrounded by multiple defenders and missed a few bunnies that he normally makes, but still Owen ended up with 22 points, 4 of 4 in the 2nd, and finished 11-16 from the field. 10 boards, 4 blocks and numerous altered shots.
Brock Harding ran the offense like the floor general he is, ended up with 16 points and 11 assists..
At the time of this post Moline's opponent for Moline's Monday matchup in Normal, Illinois's ISU Redbird arena at 7:30pm has not been determined yet. I will update as soon as the scores are released.
Update:
Fran, Connor, and Jack were in attendance upper balcony front row just behind the Moline bench.
Moline now plays Oswego East 29-5 on Monday at Redbird arena in Normal, Illinois at 7:30pm

After 36 games Iowa's 2 recruits are still in it to win it. Tonight in a back and forth game where Moline was ahead or down in every quarter, Moline took the final lead at the 5:04 mark in the 4th quarter, 52-51 and never allowed Oswego East to tie or wrestle the lead back and won 59-55 in a barn burner that challenged each team to the final horn.
Iowa's big man recruit was a man tonight, Owen finished with 22 points on 10-16 from the field, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 2 steals, Brock never found his range tonight and was only 3 of 12 and 1 of 8 from 3 and 12 points but sealed the game at the line, but it was Moline's 6-5 sophomore forward Trey Taylor that came through in Brock's absents with 6 blocks, 6 of 8 from the field, 6 of 7 from the line and 18 points that allowed Moline to overcome a will coached Oswego East team.
Moline 33-3 advance to the final 4 and will play Downers Grove North 32-3 at 4:15pm on Friday with the game telecast on the CW network and as always on QCsportsnet.com. with the audio.

My insight on Moline's game against Downers Grove North.
Moline is going to struggle if they don't convert enough 2's and 3 pointers to offset the number of 3's that DGN will put up and potentially make. I'm going to make a prediction that DGN will put up between 35 and 40 - 3 pointers in this game. Now that may change if DGN grabs a substantial lead and plays keep away for extended minutes, but they definitely rely on the long ball.
Owen Thulin a 6-0 guard runs the show, he is lightning in a bottle, but everyone except their 6-8 center James Riemer can handle the ball anywhere on the court. Moline, if they are to succeed on Friday, has to contain Downer Grove North's 6'2 G/F Jack Stanton, this kid scares the bejesus out of me, he's the best shooter of 3's I've ever set eye's on, think Payton Sandfort but with a quicker release.
It will have to be a team effort by Moline to come away with a win on Friday. Freeman and Trey Taylor will have to dominate inside and Brock Harding and Grant Welch can not have another off night if Moline is to advance to Saturday's Championship game.
