Timed that farewell concert perfectly
Yep, he knew it was coming.

For all the drugs, snorting ants, 'Prince of Darkness' and satan stuff he was showing as he came up, he seemed to turn out to be a good family man for most of his life. He said "God Bless you All" to the fans in his concerts. Everyone who talked to him said he was the nicest guy in person. For the last couple of decades at least, he seemed like a good guy at heart who put on a great show for the people when he had to. He was a wild one in the 70's and 80's. A true and original legend of rock.

RIP John

First thing I thought of was assisted suicide. Don’t know why other than the timing.

you know, I guess I just never realized how intertwined my life and memories are/were to music, and growing up when I did, and the absolute hey day of heavy metal. The concerts......highschool football and crazy train, and 2 a days camp and listening to mama I'm coming home...... I am amazed that my parents let me have some of the albums I had, but at the same time, we had the best music in the 70's and 80's and we 17'n rocked, and I guess my folks just knew that heavy metal was our ELVIS.

OZZY is an absolute LEGEND, and took to the next level to get on that stage in full blown Parkinson's and find the strength and bravery to get it done. Mad respect for that strength, and mad respect for being a family fella, and loving his people and fans the way he did.

RIP OZZY
