Why did he pick us? Because no one in California has heard of us? He didn't mention Auburn went 4-4 in conference this year and played a cupcake OOC schedule. Dick.

our schedule is the softest in a conference that is known for soft scheduling.

It's time to start measuring our program in SEC wins.

That is ********. You can say that about out of conference scheduling, but our overall schedule strength (the only thing that matters) is year in and year out one of the toughest in the country.

Who cares if people ***** about our OOC schedule? You know what? Kansas St. played OOC schedules just as bad, if not worse, in the 90s and they finished in the top 20 10 times in 11 years (6 times in the top 10). I'll take that all day long and not give a **** about who bitches about it.

..for years, we've had dumbass A.D.'s create OOC schedules that would cause the best teams in the nation to go 9-3.

If MSU is finally putting together creampuff OOC schedules, then the whole MSU athletic dept. deserves a raise.

that a team shouldn't be allowed to play for the NC with an OOC schedule like ours. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with him. But, he's probably right when he says there should be some type of standard for OOC to play for the National Championship.

A tough schedule is a tough schedule. And MSU's schedule was tougher than 11 of the 12 teams in the PAC-12.It's justsour grapesthat a PAC-12 team with 1 loss will never play for a national title, although that could change if the 4-team playoff is adopted. Guess what? With their schedules, the should have to go undefeated to be ranked in the top 2.

I daresay he won't find an SEC team in the title conversation with a weak OOC. The guy is just trying to stir ish by picking on some low-hanging fruit. Our OOC schedule adds nothing to that argument.

out of conference schedule is we play in the SEC AND in the WEST at that. . We don't freaking NEED a tough OOC game to beef up our schedule. Perhaps they need to beef the conference schedule a bit? I am a big fan of PAC 12 football (especially USC), but them attackingus for aweak out of conference is kind of pathetic. Damn right we have a weak out of conference schedule. SO WHAT. Perhaps they would like to take Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Arkansas off our hands? Maybe they would like Florida, Georgia, UT, or South Carolina too? My guess is they would take the Bears and brag about beating a SEC team, IF they beat them.

To be completely fair, the Pac 12 has played better than any conference against the SEC in the BCS era. Most notably I would like to point out the drubbing Arkansas received from USC. Or the UCLA *** kickings to UT. Oregon raping us. The only exceptions have been Georgia-ASU and two very respectable losses to two SEC champions by Oregon, and between the 3 of those games you had 2 #1 overall draft picks and numerous Heisman finalists. The Pac 12 isn't bad, I just don't get them picking on us. In 2009 we had the #1 hardest schedule and our OOC was BS outside of Houston, who was overrated. Oregon State and the "Mississippi State's" of the Pac 12 have to schedule Nebraskas and Wisconsins because if they play their 9 game Pac 12 schedules and west coast UAB's they'll rank in the 70's SOS. They'll lose their OOC but they'll come up with the same record as cupcake MSU because we don't get to play WSU, Arizona, and UCLA every year.

If there's a standard for non conference schedules there should be one for conference also. How fair would it be to force us to play a top 35 non conference schedule to match the PAC 10 when we're playing a top 5 conference schedule and they don't? Whether we play the New England Patriots or Mary's school of the blind doesn't matter as long as our total schedule is ranked high. The reason the PAC 10 has to play a tougher non conference schedule is because in the past their conference strength of schedule has been CUSA worthy.
