Must be lots of money it to want to be associated with his nasty legacy.

Not a DeNiro fan. Guy runs his mouth way too much. Always telling others how to think, feel and believe.
I try to separate the two. Too many Hollywood actors can't keep their mouths shut. I don't care about their politics..etc..but you can't deny the body of work of Deniro. Too many classics to list to be ignored as one of the greats.

I can't separate the two. He may be a good actor but he is also a major douchebag with diarrhea of the mouth.

We can all agree, based on recent events Joe Pa would be going to jail!

How are they going to film 20 years of child rape scenes in the locker room showers? Or the systematic cover-up by the entire administration? Or the blind fan support in light of overwhelming evidence? Or the NCAA's limp, spineless lack of punishment?

As a bonus feature they should show frat boys murdering their own pledges. State Penn...it never changes.

Hey man, there was NO COVER-UP WHATSOEVER! The people who could have helped put Sandusky in prison just got together and made a collective decision not to tell law enforcement - but they didn't cover anything up, really they didn't.

I wish people would stop calling that pedophile enabling POS "Joe Pa".
He doesn't deserve a nickname that is even remotely endearing.
RIH Paterno.
I believe this is the first negative thing I've ever heard you say about a person, and it was richly deserved

Leave Steve B out of this.. He's actually a really good dude. Just looks like he wouldn't be allowed within 300 ft of a school.

Good dude? He's awesome. No one plays creepy weird guys like him. I doubt anyone well known would take on that role though.

Just curious if you would feel the same if he had the same political lean that you do.

Of course, it's a choice for an actor to speak up about political/social issues in that they may alienate some people, but it's also unrealistic to have an expectation that someone, because they are in the public eye, should not express their opinions.

If my Doctor had political feelings opposite of mine, but she takes good care of me, that doesn't preclude me from firing her.

I'll go out on a limb and say he has no trouble enjoying Clint Eastwood's movies.

Not really political but that is a part. He is always running his mouth telling others what to think and believe. That's my beef. His opinion is no more important than yours or mine. He just thinks it is.

Also, I have a doctor that is excellent but his bedside manner is short and abrasive. I don't go for chit chat or to exchange Christmas cards with him. As long as he keeps me in shape I really don't care that he's a dick.

I have their movie closer - Paterno in hell - it is HOT - like 120 in the shade - and Paterno is doing hard labor - breaking rocks....whatever. He is still an old man. He looks pathetic. The devil stops by and laughs......feeling the heat Joe? Good thing this is only for eternity!!! HA HA HA!!!!!! Pacino could make it work......all we need is someone to play the devil. MMMMMM..... Nick Saban cameo????

What makes you think that he thinks his opinion is more important than yours or mine? Because he said it? Does he not have the right to speak his mind?

I love DeNiro. Although he has been choosing some pretty crappy roles, probably starting with Analyze This. Maybe even earlier. He has so many exceptional movies to his credit that I can't think of all of them. Love Deer Hunter and Raging Bull, Good Fellas, The King of Comedy, Taxi Driver, Midnight Run, Heat. Even enjoyed Ronin. Although I'm not a huge fan of the Godfather Trilogy, the first two are very highly regarded.

I wonder who will play the dutiful wives of Joepa and Sandusky who willingly turn their heads to ignore years of child rapes?

@rrthusker never said that De Niro doesn't have the right to speak his mind. It's just rrt's opinion that De Niro is a douche that spews diarrhea out of his mouth and looks down on others for not agreeing with him.

Whether that's correct of De Niro or not, that's rrt's opinion that doesn't need to be justified to you, let it go.

The cover up charge was dismissed. Along with 22 other "felonies".

So did the defendants get together and make a collective decision not to tell law enforcement, or didn't they?

Seems like that's why they're going to jail.
