True..one of my other favorites Deniro played that scumbag Bernie Madoff in another HBO movie.

Look, voice, etc. will probably all be very good. But can he go all-in and be believable as a sodomite admirer? That remains to be seen I guess.
I try to separate the two. Too many Hollywood actors can't keep their mouths shut. I don't care about their politics..etc..but you can't deny the body of work of Deniro. Too many classics to list to be ignored as one of the greats.

Hey man, there was NO COVER-UP WHATSOEVER! The people who could have helped put Sandusky in prison just got together and made a collective decision not to tell law enforcement - but they didn't cover anything up, really they didn't.

Just curious if you would feel the same if he had the same political lean that you do.
Of course, it's a choice for an actor to speak up about political/social issues in that they may alienate some people, but it's also unrealistic to have an expectation that someone, because they are in the public eye, should not express their opinions.
If my Doctor had political feelings opposite of mine, but she takes good care of me, that doesn't preclude me from firing her.
I'll go out on a limb and say he has no trouble enjoying Clint Eastwood's movies.

I love DeNiro. Although he has been choosing some pretty crappy roles, probably starting with Analyze This. Maybe even earlier. He has so many exceptional movies to his credit that I can't think of all of them. Love Deer Hunter and Raging Bull, Good Fellas, The King of Comedy, Taxi Driver, Midnight Run, Heat. Even enjoyed Ronin. Although I'm not a huge fan of the Godfather Trilogy, the first two are very highly regarded.

I thought Casino was either poorly edited or just sort of disorganized. Bronx Take was sorta meh to me. Cape Fear was good.
