If he doesn't make a run this year no reason for him to be back. I doubt we make the tourney if we do 8 seed at the very best. This **** has gone on long enough he's a train wreck.

with that being said, it is absolutely inexcusable for us to have "4100" fans in that arena (it didn't look like more than 2500 to me). the guys that we have playing right now are marginal, and need every edge that they can get to win games
we have nearly 20000 students, and I don't know how many citizens within 30 minutes of Humphrey Coliseum, and all of those people will be the ones bitching when we are left out of the tournament or holding a 12 seed due to losing games like this (partially due to 2500 fans in the stands) - stansbury owns some of this, and apathetic fans own some of this - EVERYBODY needs to step up - fill up the arena, still lose, then ask for stansbury's head.

The sudent section was less than half full, the upper deck was nearly empty, and we were 4-0 coming into the game so I don't want to hear this "I am not driving an hour to see us lose to FAU" ******** unless you are Nostra-damn-damus.
Students aren't the problem over 70% of people there tonight were students. "But but the student section was half full" maybe but since our season ticket holders don't show up students can sit wherever and we're in every section of that gym. We're talking about the students that had their section divided for the season tickets holders. Its exam week dumb ***** students have projects due, lab reports and 17ing finals. We have a ******** coach that is constantly defended from people who think he's the best we can do. Our big three coaches are Dan Mullen, John Cohen, and Rick Stansbury... Who's the weak link? We have two coaches that prepare for everything can recruit and coach. Two coaches that are considered offensive guru's at their respected sports that can actually assemble a staff that works. Stans losses his top assistant and goes out to hire a JUCO head coach from Meridian. If he doesn't do something this year after 13 seasons its time to go. A 17ing monkey could win the SEC West. Its the worst division in basketball. We scored 59 against FAU. To steal words from a friend this isn't the Big East.
That's all you have to say and I'll leave it alone... Maybe I eat crow maybe you eat crow but 17ing say it. They're not even close and Rick has been here 13 years and John 2 going on 3... I don't think you realize how bad of shape our baseball program was in but that's besides the point just say it.
There I said it. It has only taken Cohen 2 years to exceed the number of losing records that Stansbury has had in 13 years. You got me. Does our baseball team look better to you than it did 3 years ago? I couldn't stand Polk and I thought Cohen would be a good hire but he has not improved jackshit and needs to go if he does not get over .500 this year.Danhandled5 said:

I realize what a huge stinking pile of **** Cohen inherited, but I was very disappointed that he didn't make ANY progress in his 2nd season. Dan Mullen didn't exactly step into a great situation and we all see what he's done with it in 2 years. Cohen needs to win and he needs to win now.
....at least Stansbury has been making noise in the SEC [basketball] tournament the last few years due to nothing more than determination & the will to man up against equal or superior competition.

Show me one thing I have said about our team thisyear that is wrong. Not once have I said Stansbury is a great coach. He is barely average. All I am saying is that 90% of the people on this board that are bitching would not know Twany Beckham from Shaun Smith because all they do is look at a box score and a name on a jersey.Roy Munson said:

I'm just waiting to the end of the year when we fire Stansbury and Cohen makes more then him... As a baseball coach. Its not IF but when. Stansbury took over our program after we had gone to the sweet 16 and the final 4 and has nothing to show for it. Has steadily gone down hill more and more each and every year. On Cohen he'll get it taken care of don't worry we'll improve this year but the year after is where his work and recruiting is really going to pay off. Going to be loaded.

Believe me, ive harped on subjects til I was blue in the face over at the pond until I was basically run off. The 3 topics? Stains,Polk and Croom. The happy crowd couldnt stand that i was right about all 3. The only one that is still around is stans and the reason we still argue about him are for the exact same faults that he had when he got here...it hasnt changed and NEVER will. THAT is why he pisses me off. We could be so much better if he would just get his head out of his ***. Im not getting into his problems, ive done that too many times, but it is just very frustrating to see how close we are but for stans issues.
So, it is either accept him for what it is or be pissed off about it. Im both, i accept him for who he is, but i will ***** about his issues til im blue in the face because most, if not all, are easily corrected.

You left that part out... When we lost to Jackson State Cohen loaded the team on the bus and drove to Hinds CC and made the pussies practice. He stopped the practice 5 different times brought everyone to the mound and just called each one of them out. You think Stans did that? You think he made them go down to the Sanderson and get after it? Practice on the zone? Run Bailey's unathletic ***? Nope went home poured the anti aging dust on his sons and put on his new P90X DVD. He has 8 players to coach. 8 players to put in a game plan against a zone or whatever his philosophy is. He males over a million dollars and puts that **** on the court.

Let's get something straight. In spite of popular opinion on here, I do not think Stansbury is a great coach. He screws up alot. However to in any way, shape, or form say that Cohen has done anythingbetter than Stansbury at MSUis a joke. The record speaks for itself.
The fact is, he lost to Jackson <17>ing State. Even Polk II never lost to Jackson State.
Why all the love for Cohen anyway, especially from the Stans haters? Cohen has one SEC title (same as Stans) and 0 SEC tournament titles. And Cohen didn't do jack **** when he did get Kentucky to the NCAA tournament. And he played at home and in a double elimination format (which makes it a lot harder to get upset).
