If you know the right people you can play anywhere.
Insightful, right there.
If you know the right people you can play anywhere.
73?I've got a whole set of hybrids all the way through lob wedge. Use two Dunlop gloves all the time and never take them off.
I have only been told that about 100 times myself. It has been a terrible problem for me. Once a pro told me I was built like Jeff Maggert but swung like John Daly. I have tried and tried to shorten my swing, and quit over rotating my hips, but cannot make myself do it. I even took a club to the gym I work out at recently and swung what felt like 50% of how far I could turn, and in reality, looking at myself in the mirror, I was making plenty of turn, getting the club almost to parallel on my back swing.
What drills do you recommend?
I was invited to play at Augusta National one time when I was working near Augusta. If you know the right people you can play anywhere. .
Oh I didn't get to play there. Wasn't the right person that asked me.I have a buddy who played Augusta a couple years ago. Got on with some big wig he was working with on a deal. Shot a 79. *******.

Go to range hit 8 iron 100 yards, hit 5 iron 150 yards, hit driver 200. You may do different yardages but you get the idea and doing that will hopefully get you some muscle memory built in and hopefully shorten your swing. Make yourself swing shorter with clubs no matter how far they go on the range. I think that could help.

Yeah, get rid of golf from the Olympics and not grow the game of golf. Good call, Mark!
Yes, big time. Countries are going to throw a **** ton of money into the game of golf to get players there to play. Some kids who would have never played before will be exposed to the game and attempt to make it to the Olympics. The exposure for men and women golfers in the Olympic games worldwide will absolutely grow the game.Seriously? How many "tours" are there now all over the WORLD? You really think a couple of players from each country in an event that is played every 4 years is going to "grow" the game? Hilarious.
Golf (in the United States, at least) has a growth problem, with the National Golf Foundation reporting in 2012 a 13 percent drop in the number of golfers over the last five years. Is China the lynchpin of the golf's growth and continued success? Are the Olympics?
The Olympics was the accelerator, but China is not the lynchpin. With the recession, disposable income is eliminated, so you drop your golf course membership, but we'll find that the game of golf will pick up again in the U.S. It's an amenity that people love.
The Chinese cherish the gold medal. They want that gold medallion hanging around their necks, and they will put their resources behind it. If you could actually see this training center in Nanshan, it would blow your mind. The Chinese are doing what America did for itself in the 80s and 90s -- 400 golf courses per year on unlimited budgets. One thing I'm really impressed with about the Chinese is that they put their mind to it and they really go after it. They are so determined to reach their goals. Imagine what it does for the manufacturing of golf balls and equipment and shoes -- everything in the game of golf -- if you could double the number of golfers, it would be great. Everyone wants to see this happen, and if we all band together in the right direction, we could make it work.
^Read what Greg Norman said in bold. Many countries will put big time resources into golf to win the gold because they actually care. UKO is a shitstain on society.
Just stop. If you dont think the Olympics will grow the game of golf worldwide you're too stupid to post in here. Dead serious, give it up, this is one of your worst takes ever. Don't dig in, you are wrong. You really don't get it. But hey, if you think one 4 day tourney in August with the same players from 2 weeks prior is going to save the game, then so be it. The world will be on the edge of their seats come Sunday, 8/14 at 6:00 a.m. if 3 golfers from Kuwait are in the running for a bronze medal. The human interest stories will be off the charts.
And so the Chinese care about the gold medal...well a big yahoo to that. You know what that means to golf here in the states......ZILCH.
But just in case...so if Jordan wins the gold and Tiger blows him on the beach in Rio, does that give more cred to the game than the PGA champ two weeks prior? Not according to the survey you linked....which you obviously disagree with.
Keep up the fawning and the hyperbole...makes for good entertainment.

I may or may not care about the Olympics but its going to grow the game across the world. Your posts are about as bad as your golf game.
Have a tee time for the University Club tomorrow on the Wildcat course, but I would rather play True Blue. I like both courses, but I seem to play better on Blue. I like to play the number 4 tees, but the other 3 guys I'm playing with will want to play from the #3 tees. Granted they are in their 50's and I'm in my mid 40's. Anybody else play in a group regularly where there is a big difference in the tees everybody plays? Maybe I shouldn't play with retirees.
Never played The Bull. Heard plenty of good things about the track though. Just haven't made it out there.

Drainthatub would let you two play best ball and still win 9&8cawoodsct with the 9 &8 win over cole854
I play with guys at times that all play from the senior tees. I just tee off from there with them but use a 3 iron or 5, whatever puts me where their drives usually land. I like that better than having to stop at my tee and then going up and stopping at theirs.Have a tee time for the University Club tomorrow on the Wildcat course, but I would rather play True Blue.
