From my understanding, the Stevie Offense had the ball for extended periods of time. Lots of long drives. Purely speculating since I didn't see the game, but that may have contributed to that "low" score.
Ironically, Palatine outplayed Stevenson last year and lost 26-24; this year Stevenson outplayed Palatine and yet Palatine won 28-20.
Stevenson's offense is really, really good..PHS had some big time players make some big time plays when it mattered. Stevenson had the ball inside Palatine's 20 yard line four times and inside the 5 yard line twice in the second half and got zero points.
Additionally, I think Oles may have been a little overly pumped up for the game. He overthrew wide open guys a few times. That I can recall, I think they could have had 3 more TDs if they'd connected. Trust me, they'll be fine...I think they just really, REALLY wanted this game and managed to do what they needed to for the win.
