3 losses to "top 10" 8A teams by a total of 12 points (or "top 12 Chicagoland Top 30")... Who else has played a schedule like that and has anyone fared better?

Didn't get to watch tonight's game, but expect them to do well come playoff time.

Lights looked pretty bright when I checked the score on the way home, but us Palatine people seem to like it dim I guess.

Just like in the 8A semi-final last year, they have trouble with a very quick, scrambling QB.

They were down 20-14 and had first and goal on Barrington's 2 yard line to start the 4th, were down to the 1 on 2nd down and then ran an end around that lost 5 yards and an incomplete pass and had to settle for a field goal, leaving them down 20-17 instead of up 21-20.

Barrington ate away 7 minutes of clock with Niro converting a number of third downs before Parsons made an incredible catch for the final TD. They had no answer on that drive and even though they mounted a late comeback, they didn't have enough time for the two scores needed.

Sucks because it seems they are much better than a 3-3 team...but hopefully they'll figure out how to win these close ones before Hoffman Estates week 9 and the playoffs.

It's not a knock on palatine. I live there...well, here. It's just an observation. I was sitting with some friends and they all agreed.

They'll have to have the players sell some extra Palatine Football Discount Cards to foot the bills for new lights :p

I haven't been to the stadium yet so I was just half kidding. I don't know if they are LED or Halogen or Fluorescent.

Actually I was really impressed with Barrington. Like that QB alot.
I also like his play. I paid attention to him last year and he's a special player. I had a suspicion he would play like he did tonight. I thought that if he was not hurt in the playoffs last year he was taking them to the championship game. Tough kid.

Barrington not having an actual kicker is amazing to me. They always seem like they have someone who can make FGs with ease

I was thinking maybe he/she doubles as a soccer player and they had a soccer game. I've seen that happen before.
