For the guys already qualified for the Olympic Trials, what is the benefit of wrestling in the Pan Ams? Simply a chance to compete?

I think that's it (not certain)

There is also the PAN-AM Olympic Qualifier which takes place after the PAN-Championships. I think a few wrestlers are doing both competitions, but some (especially those not qualified) are doing just the Qualifier.
