It is no longer against the law in Atlanta and other sanctuary cities in the USA.Is it against the law? There is one on every corner in Louisville. A lot of them look like it is a profession. I’m sure it is for some.
That’s awesome!!But true embarrassing story. I grew up in Owensboro. The idea of paying to park was totally foreign to me until I moved away for college. In 2003 I drove to St Louis to see Radiohead. My bank account was overdrawn but I had a Citgo credit card. I was a dumb 20 year old college student. Sorry. I wouldn't do that now. But I did.
No cash. Negative balance in my bank account.
I got there fairly early and decided to go see the Arch. Parked my car and walked around the park and through the free public areas. Time for the show and decided it was time to head to the amphitheater.
Got in the car and tried to leave the parking garage. Oh crap it costs $10. I had no money. None. Maybe a few pennies in my cupholder. I decided to start asking strangers for money. No one is giving me a dime. Damn I'm just a broke kid trying to get home. Finally an elderly couple gives me the $10. I was super thankful. I asked for their address because I wanted to pay them back. They were like "yeah........ No just the take the money, we're good" I was so confused. I just wanted to pay them back...
Years later I started getting people walking up to me at gas stations saying "OMG I just need a few bucks to get to Versailles" and it dawned one me! "OH CRAP THEY THOUGHT I WAS GONNA ROB THEM!"
I might be the one honest panhandler ever....

I agree, sometimes I have to be reminded, for that I thank you. Happy Holidays!I think you’re a selfish, heartless bastard. Have some compassion, especially this time of year.
I had a guy come up to me years ago in a convenience store parking lot in Nashville. He asked me for a dollar. I said "Why do you need a dollar?" He said "I need to get.... hell, I ain't gonna lie, I need a drink." I laughed and gave him 2 bucks for being honest.
That reminds me. The summer that my wife and I got married, we drove out to Montana. On way home we were driving like crazy to get back to Louisville. We were planning on staying in St. Louis. We were broke, so my wife said that we should drive the rest of the 4 hours. I said no problem, I’ll take some No Doze and drink a Surge Soda. I thought one No Doze is good, but 2 would be better! Wrong, I was so jittery that I could not keep my foot on the gas pedal and pink elephants were jumping out in front of me on the interstate causing me to slam on my brakes at random times. My wife had to drive the last 3-1/2 hours and she was freaked out by my psycho behavior. My boss wouldn't let me have the next day off, so I tried to drive from St. Louis to Lexington after the concert. Ended up overdosing on NoDoze and becoming violently ill on I-64 in Louisville. Rough 2 days but yeah Radiohead was incredible.
LolI just chuck spare change out of the moon roof. It is fun to watch them scrounge around for it
It’s stupid and the Lexington Liberals that run this City should all be arrested. Every effin street corner has some loser begging for money. It’s a terrible look for Lexington.is completely out of control.

You naive bleeding-heart bastards who give them money are why they reside on every street corner now. Wise up, fool.I think you’re a selfish, heartless bastard. Have some compassion, especially this time of year.
A ton of irony there.Saw a guy on corner of new Circle and Nicholasville rd last week. His sign said the usual “ need money”, “god bless”. As I pulled past him I looked back and other side of sign was a “now hiring” sign. Guess he had stolen/borrowed it from a local business that had it staked in the ground .

There are homeless shelters, food kitchens, and tons of Government, (Our tax dollars) help for these people.
There is zero excuse for standing on a street corner begging for money. Zero.
Wake up you idiot Liberals that run Lexington and realize how it makes this great city look like a ********.
It’s EFFIN EMBARRASSING.

In 2003 I drove to St Louis to see Radiohead.
I gave a man and woman $20 in OKC for gas and they ask for my address as well. Did not give it to them, just told them it was a gift. Most of the time I give and $20.00 is my norm. Almost always give to the Salvation Army, they do good work. But true embarrassing story. I grew up in Owensboro. The idea of paying to park was totally foreign to me until I moved away for college.
