If at Alabama Theater that is a tough call, that place is a great venue. I would go to Homecoming, Panic is at most a 4 hour drive away most weekends during the fall.

and that's the last time for me. Love Panic. But I'm more of a studio album Panic fan (which all of you live-or-nothing folks can suck my scrotum). Fun experience tho.

Don't break your homecoming streak. That's decades in the making. Panic plays many times in the south every year, as football homecoming only comes once a year.

If you had a time machine and could only use it once, would you go back to the glory days, knowing you would have relive the croom years all over again? I sure did take the late 90's for granted. But i really dont think i could put myself through that nonsense again.

but you should try and check out the Bardstown Rd. area (Highlands) when you're up here. Tons of good bars and restaurants, and a little less of a "manufactured cool" vibe than 4th Street Live can have, even though you'll probably end up there (4th st) since it's a block away from the festival.

Go to any show on the fall tour. Hell, Ill see you in Austin for Halloween. But do NOT go to Birmingham.. PM if you want details.. That or google "Operation Dont Panic" by the Birmingham City Police
That usually works for me

It is not the same and never will be. Mikey was the unique sound that made Panic. I still tried listened to them with George b/c he is a hometown boy, but not even close. Now they sound like an extended Allman Brothers song with Jimmy. The are not Panic anymore.

I think it is funny that you kids take all these drugs (mainly some molly made in some one's basement) go to the show and the proclaim how great it was.
Take those same drugs and sit at home and listen to an old panic or dead show and you will say you had the best night ever.

Same thing with the Grateful Dead. Jerry was the Dead... period there is no substitute...

You want to see a show go see KISS on Halloween at Voodoo or catch AC/DC, now that's a rock show...

...and George was absolutely horrendous, I still think they sound pretty good these days. Like I said I only get to see them a couple of times a year, and dont need all of the drugs you talk about. I will go, and have a couple of beers and have a good time. Will it ever be as good as it was in the Houser days? hell no. Does Jimmy do a good job up there? I think so. You just have to take it for what it is

I will not have anything on me. Nor will I do anything illegal at the show. I can enjoy panic by simply drinking my face off. Only in Alabama and Mississippi would they purposely target a bunch of kids at a music show. I say Mississippi also because of what happened the last time Panic came to Mississippi State. Old town cops stuck back in the 50's. Those cocksuckers go home and beat off to arresting 20 year olds for smoking weed.

among other places. Usually cops in all states have problems with kids and obvious drug use and dealing in public

Panic's message is nothing but positive and it sucks that people have to resort to drugs to take this message in. To people who don't listen to the band, it gives them a bad name and that's unfortunate.

Take a look around... or just smell. You are in the minority... Most people are just wanting to enjoy their buzz with some good music. It's the kids on tour slinging drugs that give panic a bad name.

Panic's message is nothing but positive? Look they are my favorite band, but they arent exactly a bunch of choir boys. Sure as they have gotten older they have all settled down, but the crowd and the type of music they play is just part of it. And some people just dont like songs that go on for ten minutes, and that is fine. I do. To each his own. I couldnt give a **** what kind of music other people like

Bands these days need better names and should play better music while they're at it. Another couple of years and someone will be saying "OMG Deer in the Headlights is playing in Atlanta and Caught Masturbating is opening up for them! What should I do?

There is no way in hell that in 30 years you'll be listening to a classic rock station with your kids while someone says "Wow, listen to that! Panic is still awesome after all this time." It won't kill you to miss it.

And we all know you measure just how good a band is by how much they are played on the radio

And really, the last 25 years hasn't produced too many great bands. As the old asian guy on Majorleagues said "They still suck."

You have never heard of them, but you are sure they suck? That makes sense.

and I haven't heard of them tends to sway me to thinking that they suck. Does that make sense? Sorry if I hurt your feelings or were you just trying to be a dick?

You didnt hurt my feelings, I just didnt realize that the level of how good a band was all depended on whether you had heard of them or not. Now I know and I am impressed. I will say this, like them or not but for you to live in the south and have never at least heard of them just tells me you should get out more or at least poull your head out from whatever rock it has been under. They are a pretty big name in the south

As you should be.

Ever think it was just to a certain genre? Maybe I don't smoke enough dope to appreciate it or maybe only cocksuckers listen to them which is why you have such an interest.
