appears to be a serious "man crush" developing in Baton Rogue for Dan Mullen.Les's idiotic clock management game last year against UM was still a pretty hot topic. If he pull that **** again he will be gone, bank it.

to under achieve, and Dan does well in the next year or so. LSU is definitely interested, and there is nothing we can do to stop them from getting him. That comes straight from of one of the top 3 donors to MSU athletics. He said, "Dan has put us in a good position to find his replacement though, and it might not happen this year or the next, but it's going to happen. Dan's on a lot of lists, and he's 5-7. What's going to happen if when we start winning?" I was like damn, this is already happening. I'm pulling for the Hatter to go 9-3, anything short of that, and his *** is done.

I have a hard time believing he would leave to go to another SEC West school. The only time I can recall that actually happening was when Tubberville went from Ole Miss to Auburn. I dont believe that Dan has undying allegence towards us, but I dont think he would do something that slimy either.

That is no knock against Dan, but how is he any different from what Les Miles was when LSU went out and hired him? I see LSU trying to hire an established winner, or big name guy. One of my LSU friends swears to me they will make a run at Saban, and that he may listen. Also expect to hear Jack Del Rio and Jon Gruden's names.

But if LSU offers, im sure he is gone. I cant blame him.

Godfrey is right. Don't be so naive. If LSU decides they want Mullen (or Bama or Auburn either for that matter), he's gone.

is a f'n honey hole despite the **** that you have to put up with at LUS. Mullen would be a f'n idiot not to jump at it. Probably double his pay. And he would not get jilted by the cam newtons and barry brunettis of the world any more.

if you look at their last 2 hires, both were from college, and both were being fairly successful at mid-level program in big conferences. And both won NC's.

I think it's in our best interest that Miles wins 9 games

You are a bunch of WUSSES!!! All you do is prepare to lose! Give MSU and Dan a break.
I am sure you can't imagine winning a ball game, much less keeping a coach....

I am actually kinda shocked no one has mentioned this tidbit from the extravaganza in jackson.....veazy had it in newspaper too......maybe, im a blind german though....

mullen on atlanta:
"That's going to be our goal - (those were) our expectations for last season and really, that's our expectation for this season and will be 10 years from now when I'm the coach here."

Now, I, for one, am in total agreement.....offer up 3-5 mill to mullen to a top 10 job......he's out.....I just thought that quote the other night was interesting.......in fact, i nearly choked on my hotdog....

Miles has a national title there and the alumni are ready to run him out on a rail. Besides, I see Mullen hanging on a couple more years for THE job and it ain't LSU. No doubt, Mullen will leave. I think it will be Florida or perhaps a potential out of conference powerhouse like Texas A&M.

the impact of the current economic situation and the giant tax increases that are coming our way. Money is not going to be as available in the USA for this kind wheeling and dealing. We are on the verge of an economic rollback that will put us economically were we were in the 1960's. By the way an Ag Econ teacher told our class in 1963 that if things didn't change we would be a socialist country by the turn of the century. He didn't miss it much did he.

How about Dan knows what the hell is going on- and that's just for starters.

Yeah, I was pissed about the play call at the end of the LSU game, but at least it was an actual play and not something completely WTF? like spiking the ball to end the game. That was Croom-esque to say the least. And to me, a coach calling for a ball to be spiked in that situation is grounds for being fired.

I'll call it right now- LSU has a bad year and they fire Miles. Yeah, he won a NC, but even that year he lost to UK and Arkansas. Whether they hire Dan or not remains to be seen.

I think that may be a little bit of a stretch. Even if your doomsday scenario comes to pass, wouldn't the economic downturn hurt MSU more than the SEC big boys? I would think Tennessee, Florida, Alabama and Louisiana State all have big dollar donors that can withstand a 20-30% haircut in capital and still be big donors.

And I would bet my left nut that if Miles hadinherited the team that Saban inherited his *** would have been gonefaster then Curley Hallman. Miles was lucky to win the National Championship. Not lucky in coaching but lucky in having Sabantalent that would save his *** from his stupid decision making.

I'm sure he would be gone if he got a good offer. But I don't like that he said what he said, "10 years from now." I know he won't be here in ten yrs. But he's not looking that far ahead, he's just focused on winning at MSU.

I wish he'd retire here though, if he did we would have no less than 3 Nat'l. titles. Bet your check

If they let Miles go, they should go after Nutt. He has won two consecutive cotton bowls and recruits better than Ed Orgeron. Why would they even consider Mullen if Nutt is available?

Miles did not earn that NC and yes he was the coach but he walked into a good situation and could not win it no other way. What good recruits he hasgotten is due to that NC but the further away in time it becomes the more his recruiting will drop off. I think LSU fans are growing tired of him. They got use to be a power house and they see it slipping away. They took Curley Hallman who was successful at USM and he failed. They took Denardo from an improved Vandy and he failed. They got Saban and he put them back on the map. They replaced him with Miles and he is on his way tofalling out of favor. I think they will come upwith the money to get someone who hasa long time proven track record. Mullen just don't have it yet. They may go after him or they might. Who knows. They are going to look for a Saban type coach and I don’t know if they can find one. They have taken chances with Hallman, Denardo and Miles, I think they may not take any more. That's why Mullen might be out of the picture. If Fisher can turn FSU around this year who knows he might be the guy. This is just my opinion and most will disagree.
