Surely somebody else noticed that yesterday...oh wait, you bitches chose to stay home because you don't like Sugarland...whatever (vhdawg, I'm looking at you).....

OK, anyway, the offense passed the ball almost every play yesterday. Quick slants, curls, crossing, deep, everything. What say ye? 17 looked good doing it too. On short & intermediate, he could really pinpoint where he wanted the ball to go. If he has a guy open by an arm's length on a quick slant, he can put it there.

I think we're going to see the Chris Leake/Tim Tebow playbook this season. Although I think Russell will run even less than Leake did.

guy has been to every game, home and away, since 2000. He can take a spring Saturday off.

I haven't seen the game yet, but one thing I took from the stats was that there's not going to be any 2-QB system this fall. Russell is going to be the guy and he'll get 90% of the snaps. Keeping him healthy is going to be critical. I don't think we're going to see him running the ball much at all this fall.

This will all depend on our O-line. This is going to be a questionable area this season and will dictate a pass first season. I am not sold we can protect a quarterback yet.

Gotta get used to 17in 17 as our quarterbacks number in a hurry.

Dan Mullen has never averaged 20+ passes per game in his career..

On a serious note: I think we're going to sling the **** out of it this year. If Tyler Russell stays on the field I would think he'll set basically every single season passing record we have. BTW, that ain't saying much..

is can we sling it around on Bama and LSU? Of course, running it most of the time didn't work either.

Russell putting together a nice drive or two on some quick passes against Bama.

Ultimately, it's like shooting bbs at a freight train.

You can quote me on that. We threw the ball a lot during our last 2 spring scrimmages as well.
