Wasn't Pat Forde in Jackson last week? So if we throw him a huge story does he start being nice to us?

and I hope this doesn't play out.

Cam Newton is probably going to MSU because we're his best offer to date. THEN, he gets the offer from Auburn, and it seems like a better offer. No money involved yet. Rogers contacts the Newtons, maybe he's trying to getinvolved for MSU to get a good player (let's face it, he's probably a fan). He says, "Cecil, what has to happen for you to forget Auburn and come to MSU?" They negotiate a price. They decide to use Auburn as leverage against MSU in an attempt to get money, because they think we'll fold and pay because everybody would choose Auburn over poor lil MSU. Shockingly to Rogers and the Newtons, wetell them tof**k off. Newton falls back on the Auburn offer because he perceives it as better anyway. So the only reason he would ever come to MSU was for money.

That's the woe is me MSU side of the story. The catch is, didn't Bond go on record saying they already had secured 200 Gs from other suitors? If this is true, hopefully it's Auburn. Hopefully Auburn didn't come in and get Newton squeakly clean, after all the money situation had blown up in Roger's face.

If we had, Bond does not call Byrne...Byrne does not call the SEC and we do not open this can up.

Just so I am clear: I am <span style="text-decoration:underline">not</span> suggesting we have not...do not cheat.

Here is my Coach34 "out" statement: If we did offer him, and we are stupid enough to tell the SEC that Newton was for sale, we deserve to get **** on by the NCAA.

he's left stuff out there to read between the lines. Marcello noted this today.<div>

</div><div>Mullen is a golden child. He's won the hearts of many, including ESPN. That will be invaluable as this works its way through the NCAA.</div><div>
