As an ESPN talking head he's not my cup of tea but I'm pretty sure he's interesting to the younger demographic. I don't hate his role on college GameDay.

As a WWE commentator, he's absolutely insufferable.
I had no idea he was a WWE commentator. I only watch ESPN when college football is in season.

Mcafee has that reputation that Augusta National said "absolutely not" to him doing a live show there when ESPN has the rights to the Masters the first two days of the tournament. They did however allow Kelce to roam around on the course and act like an idiot.

And I would guess he was dressed like an idiot too which they don't put up with.

They got pizzed off at Brooks Koepka's wife for turning one of their blankets into pants this year, told her it was inappropriate.
Looks pretty appropriate to me...............

People don’t want politics in sports unless it’s the politics they agree with, then they love it.
Just go back to espn of the 80s that was 100% about just sports, professional, and the humor was very subtle and understated with some class.

most people are watching sports to get away from the filth of politics.

I am not in anyone's demographic. I mostly like something like the Dan Patrick Show or the old Mike and Mike show. I tune in for no politics. I want an actual discussion about on the field things. I don't really want "hot takes" or loud and flashy. I don't particularly want to listen about GOAT arguments. Now where even Dan and the old Mikes show annoyed me was the forced big market and historical greatness bias. I get that is where they can make their money since more eyes are on those areas. I don't want to hear about the Cowboys or Lakers or Yankees or Red Sox or LeBron or Tiger every day. I want to hear about the story that is actually developing instead of the story they pre select to talk about. I like to hear about the guy or lady or team that is putting together a great season no matter where they play.

I think GameDay needed someone with personality to replace Corso. Pat filled that bill, then took the publicity and is making the most of it, so it's a good business decision for him. But, it's too much in my opinion.

Dude has spent years crying about politics in sports and just launched a sports and politics site ha
Where have you been? Clay has always had a website. Although he sold it, that’s what the his website was and still is. I do miss the anonymous mailbag he had, it was quite funny.

Clay is a grifter. He was once a democrat and moved to Trump for the cash. Outkick early on hated on anyone that brought up politics into sports like LeBron. He is no longer apart of outkick and his launching a site focused on sports and State. I did like him early on but moved on when I saw his grift. Mailbag was funny though back in the day and his starting 11 was good.

Agree, he’s a grifter. He will bring up any divisive issue to get clicks and cause controversy. Be partisan for no reason. Not what I want to see or read when following sports.
