Pat White was arguably the best QB we've ever had, but apparently, not an NFL QB.
He didnt run it "well", we finished 7-5 in the regular season and the wheels fell off for Trickett, Howard was actually playing at a higher level than Trickett at the tail end of the year. He had a couple good games, and Trickett was a decent college QB but we cannot do anything other than win 6-8 games with QBs like Trickett and Howard. We need a QB on an NFL level to produce high level results on offense. In turn, as a team, to achieve high level results, we need an NFL QB and a defense that doesnt finish 120th (Geno's senior season) in order to compete at a high level in this conference. We dont run the air raid this year because Holgorsen would have been a fool to turn away from our backfield of Shell and Smallwood and put the season in the hands of Howard and our inexperienced WRs. I guarantee Holgorsen didnt come here intent on making us a run heavy team that operates out of the Shotgun.
