Pat White was arguably the best QB we've ever had, but apparently, not an NFL QB.
I honestly didnt even read your post since you didnt quote mine originally. No, Skylar is not an NFL QB, he is an okay college QB, dime a dozen. Geno is an NFL QB, he was drafted in the 2nd round, is currently on an NFL roster, and will 100% be on an NFL roster next year albeit likely with someone else, he ran the system at a high level, we unfortunately did not have a defense to back him, Tavon, and Stedman up. My position is we need a QB that will be good enough to go pro in order to obtain high level results on offense. That is supported based on throughout DH's tenure as an OC and HC his offense was only elite with a QB that would eventually be on an NFL roster. With Trickett and Howard we achieved inconsistent results and an overall average Big XII offense. When we hired Holgorsen we likely expected at some point he would be able to bring in a QB who would be able to run his system at a high level, it just never happened. As for your assertion that because Goff and Howard had a similar statline against the same opponent, somehow proves something, Im at a loss for what that is exactly supposed to prove other than two guys lit up a porous defense, one of them happens to be a future first round pick, the other not so much. The NFL scouts will not be pointing to Goff's game against ASU as to why he will succeed at the next level.
