With tonight's loss to Georgia, Calipari has lost to *28* unranked teams since 2016. This stat alone provides plenty of ammunition for those who say Calipari is a terrible bench coach.

1-13 from 3. Why are we even trying them? The only player who should have any discretion to shoot a 3 is Allen. And, he hit the only one. No one else should even attempt one unless forced to do so. Boston finally gave up and started making shorter jumpers. Every other player should, too. Mintz and Askew are not long range shooters. After tonight's game, I'm not sure what Askew's role should be. He was abysmal tonight.
There is a reason why most of Cals teams at minimum start the season awful from 3.
He likes to play big-dominated lineups with minimal spacing bc he is still trying to shoot 30 free throws a game. And the offense is either weave or or one guy moving off ball at a time, usually catching the ball moving away from the basket which is the hardest action for a shooter to catch and shoot. It requires more space or elite footwork. We very rarely catch the ball already squared up w space.
