<font size="2" face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Urban Meyer is probably leaving Florida after the season to go to Notre Dame. Meyer says he's not going. He insists he loves it in Gainesville and has no intention of taking a position he once described as "my dream job."</font></p>

<font size="2" face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif">So how do I know Meyer is not telling the truth? Easy. Meyer's lips moved when he denied the story.
</font></p>

<font size="2" face="arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Besides, Meyer knows better than anyone that Superman (Tim Tebow) is gone after the season and Florida's reign of terror in the SEC will be over. Don't think Meyer isn't just a tad concerned about Nick Saban stockpiling warehouses loaded with blue-chip talent in Tuscaloosa.</font></p>
I mean honestly, this is completely ridiculous.

The real reason he doesn't have hair is he can get his head farther up Saban's *** without it! Florida was kickin' *** before Meyer got there. Apparently Finebaum forgot that. What a dickhead.

Alabama.

When Bama is good- fluff them, when Auburn is better- bait them.

I lose about 1/2 an IQ point every time I listen to him. Unfortunatly the local Mobile station got rid of their local sport talk hosts and picked him up.

His job is to stir the pot and get discussions going. He does a great job of that by making outlandish statements, insulting schools, or pitting fans against each other.

Every good sports discussion show has at least one Finebaum like character. They are either hired due to their outlandish opinions, or they are asked to take the dissenting opinion. Finebaum just does it himself, and at times he just sits back and stokes the fire.

He's smart enough to know that Urban Meyer's run of success at Florida isn't about to end, even though they will be rebuilding in 2010 somewhat. He's just stirring the pot with the Notre Dame talk and the talk of Meyer being scared of Saban. He knows the backwoods Alabama fan element will eat that up, and they will call into his show talking about Meyer being scared of Saban.

I don't listen to Finebaum that often, but when I do it's not for first-class journalism/reporting. I listen to hear how 'Jud in Reform' is upset with Paul because of things he said or didn't say about (insert: Bama coach/player/ath. admin). It's comical. Paul does a great job of playing his audience and stirring the pot.

That is not a hack.

It is all an act and it is highly-entertaining...he does have the occassional outstanding guest, but I for the most part, I listen for entertainment not news

I listened to his little piece with Brando the other day since Brando stirred the pot with us at No. 3 in his preseason poll.

The minute he said Ole Miss at No. 3, Finebaum immediately responded by calling out to the Bama fans about ranking us ahead of Bama and Brando saying we were going to beat Bama. It wasn't the fact that the only two teams ahead of us in his poll were OU and Florida. It was the fact that we were ahead of Bama that he used to stoke the fire. I could tell Finebaum was just setting the fire, and of course it was followed by a bunch of back woods Bama callers going off on Brando. You can tell he knows what he's doing. He knows his audience and gets them to listen, and he gets them ticked off so they'll call in.
