Clay Travis is nothing more than a carnival barker and a complete POS. He railroaded Greg Schiano when he was going to get the Tennessee job and led the mob calling Schiano a child rapist just because he was on staff at Penn State when the Sandusky thing went down and there was third-hand hearsay that Schiano may have known something about it. Travis used that to drive the mob to because he didn't want Schiano coaching Tennessee because he didn't think he was good enough. So they got Jeremy Pruitt instead.

I would actually support ESPN and Disney if they sued Clay, but that would be giving him what he wants. The guy has been claiming for years ESPN was dying and they keep going.
Well, he probably had about 2 million folks tuning into First Take who otherwise would not have given a flying 17 about it, so he’s actually helping them pay their bills at this point.

The guy also was a democrat. He didn’t vote for Trump until 2020. He has no beliefs, but will jump sides again.

He doesn’t care because he got clicks yesterday. I find it hilarious barstool hates him and Dave has crushed him in money earned.

On his nightly Periscope chats back in 2015, he often talked about how it would be a genius money maker to have a mix of sports and conservative politics, and if nobody did it soon, he might have to "switch sides" and rake in the millions himself.

I remember that. I followed him around 2015/16. He made the move, so props to him.

I have no clue about this Clay Travis uproar but agree with the general sentiment. I followed his media for about a month years ago. Realized his schtick and quickly unsubscribed.

Basically, Travis put out a story that Paul Finebaum had been banned from ESPN due to an interview he had with Travis a couple of weeks ago where he discussed the murder of Charlie Kirk and openly contemplated running as a Republican for the seat being vacated by Tommy Tuberville and people ran with it using the fact that he didn’t appear on Sportscenter on Sunday as proof.

ESPN’s VP of PR immediately denied the report. The Paul Finebaum show aired in its normal slot yesterday on the SEC Network and today he appeared on First Take on ESPN like he normally does on Tuesdays.

So it turned out to be nothingburger rage bait, which, is pretty much what you would expect from perennial dipshit Clay Travis.

The worst part is that other outlets, such as AL.com, "confirmed" the report and ran with it as fact. Hopefully, they feel incredibly stupid today, but judging by today's media, they don't. After all, the story got clicks, which is all they really want.
