maybe he'll back and start up BDJ again. I'm going to laugh at them when they try to get me to renew my membership. That place sucks

So much for the merger... Paul Jones was that site.

I do know that there has been a huge push by the 247 site to go after every SEC schools' "best reporter" and bring them to their network. There have been rumors for a few weeks that they will have a 247 site for every school in the SEC very soon. Wouldn't be shocked if that's what is going on.

i joined BDJ at the beginning and loved it, but I hardly ever even go over to Rivals. Is this 247 site up and running?

... that's pretty impressive if you ask me.

If he does go to 247 it'll be the premier site for MSU recruiting over night. Everyone will go with him... so Smuley, if you were asking me where I'm going, I'll be going there if that is where Paul lands.

you mean people are gonna leave such hard hitting stories as "What would your walkout song be?" and "Here is another story written by a Rivals network guy I'm going to repost because I don't write my own ****?" to go to a site that will have the best recruiting guy we have at State? Surely you jest sir.

Paul Jones was BulldawgJunction and was the main reason that I moved to the rivals site. I do like Logan and his articles, but Paul suffered fools and more stupid questions than he had a right to. I am not a huge fan of the move to BB, but I am a fan of Paul, outside of his support of Stansbury. That site is about to find out how much he will be missed.

I followed Rob from BDB to BDJ. Robquit and I thought Paul really did a great job. Ended up buying one of the first lifetime memberships offered. I'm done paying for information I can get for free here. Once the lifetime members get the screwjob over at BDB this will be my only message board. </p>

I think the message board on rivals is hurting almost as much as the merger that I don't think will ever happen.

I will never join another Miss State board that asks for money. Don't mind donating to keep a good thing going, but cash up front is not happening again.

I'd almost follow Paul to the lake. Almost.

But I know that's not happening.

I don't mind giving 10 bucks a month to support someone who does a good job covering MSU. Paul definitely falls into that category

I paid for a lifetime membership at BDJ and I suspect that went down the tubes but Paul was the best guy there.

Wardlaw can do nothing but good things for Paul and MSU. Wardlaw is a total POS and can go suck a dick.

but the takehome message is this: according to him, one of the merger holdups was the lifetime subscriptions and he said that they will be honored. Don't shoot the messenger.

But I will signup and go to 247. They have a what appears to be a good font end and great mobile site.

I loved the forums at BDJ but have not posted much on Rivals because the green screen interface of a forum just is crappy. BDJ was a great product.

I too enjoy Logan and Bob's articles. But have grown frustrated by the promise of things to come.

and since they will be honoring the lifetime subscriptions, I'll stay for the info. But I'll also be looking forward to where Paul lands as well.

that the Lifetime memberships are holding up things, and will end up killing BDJ. It's a no win for Wardlaw because Rivals isn't going to want to allow how ever many people have essentially free subscriptions and at the same time, it's bad business to sell these "lifetime" memberships and then take them away. It's a lose/lose.

Eventually, Wardlaw will end up giving in to Rivals to cut his losses, and I'm surprised he hasn't already. It has cost him his best writer and many customers already.

And on top of that, Rivals has a crappy message board.

<div>Yes, I know...we can agree he stopped giving a crap 2 years ago.</div><div>
</div>Anyway, if the daily biscuits stop, I'm done. That would be the last nail in the coffin. He better step up and try to fill the void that Paul left.

Wardlaw goes to rivals and says look at my healthy membership rolls. I am wanting to sell out. Rivals at first glance thinks it is great and decides to buy. When they get to looking, they realize that his rolls consist of 'lifetime memberships' and long term members who have paid on the front end. These are worthless to Rivals. No cash flow. Rivals has balked (as they should) and have probably either said 'no deal' or negotiated a significantly reduced price. Thus the length of time for the "merger."

Michael was basically trying to beef up his books with all the "lifetime membership" and "let's make a deal" garbage. Blew up on him. Once you pay for your lifetime membership, you are worthless to an investor and are just using bandwidth.

I jumped on one b/c I know a good deal and I've clearly gotten my $100 worth already. But from an owner standpoint while it did beef up his books, it was a horrible idea as he resticted his cash flow and someone like Rivals has no use for lifetime memberships as they get $0 out of the deal.

I appreciate MW saying he's sticking up for us, but I honestly don't know how all that wasn't negotiated on the front end before they even agreed to the merger. Someone pulled a bait and switch on somebody or it was just a total cluster by both parties.
